Thanks for the review. I was wondering if I should check it out. (Thunderbolts)

As a kid Rocky III, Return of the Jedi, Raiders etc, all of the big movies got cheered during and big applause at the end of the movie. Not crazed screaming throughout, just genuine appreciation or surprise earned from the audience. Made things feel even bigger and more special like being part of a special event.

Years ago I went to see "Chinatown " at the late lamented Circle Theater in D.C.

When Nicholson and Dunaway drove away from the hoods at the nursing home the entire audience cheered!

It was a great community moment

Ok, first, when is the Dogma blu-ray getting released?

Second, if you want to see audience participation, Rocky Horror Picture Show is getting rereleased later this year. I saw that so many times at the midnight movie at Bailey’s Crossroads.

You are on to something here.

I was along for the ride when I took my kids to see Minecraft. That are big fans of the game and were invited to tag along by with our high school neighbor and all his fellow Minecraft playing friends. They all loved it and I was genuinely thrilled to be along for the ride.

Two weeks later when I was at Sinners, at the same theater in the same IMAX auditorium, the vibe of the audience was the exact same. The behavior was wildly different, but the same energy.

It Minecraft/Sinners/Revenge of the Sith/Dogma/Thunderbolts* remains people that movie theaters are a "third space," well that would be wonderful.

On the other hand, the whole Meta and M3Gan chatbot experience is pure evil and should be killed with fire.
