Trump is a very bad guy who tried to overthrow our government but Senate Republicans refused to impeach him. Rubio is running the show because he had a dream and now he has the power and ambition to fulfill it.
Listening to this it's easy to see how Trump managed to steamroll all these useless losers. No plan to challenge Trump, no plan to explain to Americans the dishonesty of Trump's promises/claims or the significant dangers to the long term future of the US. I agree. Every time a rep of senator needs to state proudly that GOP colleagues it tells me that they’re not working for the voters. The Senate has multiple procedural tools to slow or impede the opposition. The Dems are using none of them. They’re u intentionally complicit and lack imagination. I worry they’ll rely on “wait u Tim the midterms” and do nothing. There’s no meaningful resistance.
Warner exhibits the cluelessness of the feckless, corporate Clinton democrats in discussing Trump's focus on oil. Sure, Trump has green-lit Xi and Putin to do what they want in their sphere of influence, but the central issue is that Trump and the entire GOP have enacted a coup and refuse to follow the law and all should hang for treason.
According to the constitution, Trump MUST have went to congress to get approval for his use of our military to invade another nation, period. He does NOT have the power to control the military to fulfill his whims, period. The military is not his, congress must declare war or approve of an action that requires the use of our military.

The US kidnapping of Maduro is shocking and reveals a continued abandonment of the rules-based liberal order, but it does not set a precedent for Russia and China: they already don't respect international law. Putin sent 400 Wagners into Kyiv at the start of the war to assassinate Zelenskyy. His so-called hybrid war in Europe is just assassinations and sabotage that Europe doesn't want to acknowledge as acts of war. Xi already arrests foreigners to use as bargaining chips (see the two Michaels from Canada) and has underground police stations abroad to harass dissidents. The US ignoring the rules-based order is horrible, but the hypocrisy is more a talking point for Western tankies than something that changes Russia and China's behavior.
