No one is talking about the substance of the argument. The cause of the fracture. The insane budget bill that may, Musk is right, be the tipping point where the rest of the world stops financing our budget deficit. That’s when things get really ugly. Imagine high interest rates combined with severe austerity measures. Musk may be a drug addled lunatic but he’s right on this.

Smart analysis JVL. I think much will depend on Musk's drug use and who's in Donnie's ( not shot) ear. Musk being so entwined with national and international defense/commercial communications is troubling (and alway has been).

The fighting does bring out the question, again, what’s in the Epstein files? Is that what Putin has on Trump too or more?

I’m a regular listener to bulwark and have not heard this before….

Trump toys with using Palantir to build the American version of China’s Social Credit System.

How real is this and if so can you please discuss in more detail thank you

It's hard to overstate all the ways Trump trumped Leon. A very, very clever bastard indeed. In return for Leon's buying him the election, Elon was promised he'd be able to wood-chip G contract competitors, Trump will strong-arm other countries into throwing their business to Elon, make off with vast troves of G data to build his AI/banking empire, kill personally despised agencies that save lives in places like Africa. And force the cancellation of 37 investigations into his businesses. Elon had a lot to look forward to in this deal.

But Trump obviously and rather deviously set him up to fail. "Bring me trillions of savings, but do it without touching the holy trinity: Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security." Those would be subject to barbering by congress, but Elon was to keep hands off. So when he of course couldn't come up with more than a few measly billion, Trump had "no choice" but to fire him. So Trump thumped Elon- ruthlessly and diabolically. Elon's car company is literally on fire, his Space X is ripe for being nationalized. And his shiner? All of this makes me think two possibilities.

1) too much Ketamine with Adderall is asking literally, for a fall.

2) His Dr. Feel Good tried to taper him down, so he took a swing at the guy, and got himself clocked by the Doc.

He's very upset and fighting with Alex Jones. As JVL said, just because the bosses have agreed to a ceasefire, doesn't mean the troops are listening.

Maybe Musk should look up and see what happened to Ernst Röhm, Kurt von Schleicher, Gregor Strasser and many other SA officers. all ardent nazi supporters and party officers. Once the opposition is defeated, you look to rivals in your own party. They EAT THEIR OWN.

BEWARE: This blow-up is FISHY!

Do not fall for all you see and hear! These two corruptors need each other so expect to see a “kiss-and-make up.” Musk needs those government contracts, and Trump needs the ideas to continue moving on since he does not have an original thought in his brain! They feed off each other! No other friends?

He doesn't need Musk for ideas, he's got project 2025.

And honestly, if you look at Musk's ideas, like the Cybertruck and the Heavy rocket which has yet to have a successful trip (the rocket he wants to use to go to Mars), his ideas have turned out rather poorly in real life. DOGE, his self driving systems, 16 kids, robotaxis, etc...

Thanks for writing, Warren. I have both of my Senators on speed dial. They are both Democrats, so they will vote to defeat the "BBB." However, I still write and call to let them know what I think because it lets them know they have my support. I would urge everyone with a Democratic Senator to do likewise. If you have Republican Senators, please write and call them to tell them it is well past time for them to take a stand in support of our democracy. Public pressure matters.

I have two Republicans, one is 100% MAGA, so he'll vote for it. The other, Jerry Moran (Kansas), may be wavering. Back in the GWB days, he fought very hard to get Medicaid to help rural hospitals more, so I'm hoping he might vote against.

Thanks for writing, Sko. Please call and/or write to both of your Senators. Their staff counts every one of those emails and phone calls. If they know you are paying attention, it may make them think twice before they do something that will hurt a huge number of constituents. I live in a rural area too, and we had to fight tooth and nail to save our little hospital. We did, but many of those hospitals will be in deep trouble if their patients are cut off from Medicaid.
