You see, the MAGA TRASH have been lied to by the Trump crime family and he told him 22 million or 6 million or 100 million people came across the border under Biden “illegally” - even though they applied for asylum under the laws passed by a bipartisan Congress. So now they can’t seem to make their MAGA MATH work and are angry that they have DUPED by the Orange Timeshare Salesman yet AGAIN

There exists no constitutional authority for Trump to do anything that he does, but the congressional GOP allows it because they see a political benefit. His only authority is to enforce the laws and act in accordance with the constitution. They should all hang.

This is what has always worried me, long before there was an internet. It is a small relief to not be so alone in my fear of them. The South is not a place, it is a culture, and they will never forgive the United States for ending their "way of life" with a civil war. There is not enough blood to satisfy their hatred for us.

These people really don’t operate in reality. The nurse that helps mom at the hospital isn’t from Sweden (neither is the doctor in many cases). The people who picked our tomatoes aren’t from France. The people who care for our children in daycare aren’t from Ireland. The people who empty your trash at work, scrub the toilets and trim the grass are not from Japan. The scientist making breakthroughs at MIT is likely not from here. I wish I could wave a wand and send every immigrant to a free island holiday for three months with money for expenses so MAGA world can truly experience the profound loss of their contributions.

Dear Pam Bondi, all of us here in Los Angeles, know what it's like when the city burns, it is not burning, we know when there is city-wide riot, there is no riot. Please stop projecting a scenario that is solely in your imagination. And, please remember, you don't represent the president, you represent us.

How curious that the mouth pieces are all perfectly coordinated with the same messaging. Hrmmmm it’s almost as if *gasp* it’s by design!

All to keep these rubes locked into bloodthirsty against brown people vs. the actual people they should be mad at: their own leaders who routinely fuck them over.

Can we have a Democratic politician that makes the real case for what immigrants are to America not the flowery hyperbole or generalizations about “immigrants power economy“ as true as they are. But someone saying, “Did you get your basement renovated or kitchen counters redone recently? Do you know the stories of the women who clean your homes? Who care for your children? It’s easier not to ask, not to know the immigrant status of these workers. They support our families they support our communities and we close an eye to the truth of their experience. It’s easier this way and we don’t have to question our values. But we live our lives. We live with the privileges that we have because of the cheap labor that immigrants provide. They live here as second class citizens without rights to make a a little bit more money for their families or find a modicum of safety from their war torn countries. And we as Americans benefit tenfold. It’s an implicit deal we’ve made with our eyes closed.. If it’s an ugly truth to you, which I believe it is. If knowing the truth edge is a bit too close to a time in our history where minority groups labored for our country without rights, then demand a pathway to some protected status for them. Or perhaps to get closer to home, the homes, these immigrants, clean, maintain, renovate, and child rear. Recognize that and all out assault on this group, will certainly affect your ability to maintain your privileged lifestyle. Does that feel yucky? I agree it is.

"Ban all third world immigration"

Of course what they really mean is "Ban all non-white immigration".

The fact is that immigrants turn out to be the hardest working believers in the American story of work hard and succeed. That previously was poor people from Ireland and Italy, but now means the poor from other parts of the world. Trump is sabotaging all the things that have lead to American being the richest country in the world. There is going to be a reckoning but on many things it will take years to play out. Killing the golden goose is never a good long-term policy. It's hard to think his doing everything Putin might have dreamed to do to cripple the US is just an accident. And the GOP seems willing to go along with it all.

We used to have nativists screaming about the Irish and Italians. Those filthy Catholics and papists would ruin America!

Then they determined they could conveniently include them in “white people” and use it as a wedge between various groups. The reason was simple: my ancestors thrived because of opportunity in the US and the power to ensure they kept that opportunity (ex: unions). What better way to keep people divided than artificial cultural nonsense?

Well, of course the "third world" means everywhere except Canada, western Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and maybe a few major countries in South America, like Argentina or Brazil (and probably not those countries, because the people there still look like Mexicans).

On the other subject of the article: The worst thing about Trump/MAGA is their symbiotic relationship. Neither has any power or influence without the other, yet as the last four years proved, both are borderline invincible together.

Without Trump, the average MAGA is a directionless nobody, a drone with no more power than the next obscure online poster or trailer park dweller. Trump is their avatar and the vessel in which they invest their emotional energy. He focuses them and gets them off their asses. Likewise, without his MAGA flying monkey hordes, Trump would have been eliminated by the Establishment or other opportunistic wannabees (like McConnell, the GOP Donors, Musk, DeSantis, etc.) years ago. They give him an army that he can call up at his whim to eviscerate anybody who dares to cross him. They mindlessly attack and turn his enemies into unpopular garbage overnight at the slightest negative tweet from their leader. Of course, there are opportunists in his ranks, but even they are kept in line by the online hordes.

That is their combined superpower, and like any good sci-fi or superhero movie, one of them must be damaged or destroyed before the combined monster can be defeated. Hopefully, that happens organically when Trump is termed out of the White House, because there is no way to beat then hordes, only to decapitate them and wait for the body to die.

"It is a thrilling way to show the Trump faithful that the administration is really doing something."

If they really wanted to DO something, they could probably go to meat packing plants, or chicken processing plants, or cattle ranches. But wait....those are in red states. They definitely don't want to DO that.

Well, they've done that here in Nebraska. A meat-packing plant in Omaha was raided (as well as having at least one restaurant server arrested while at work), and the people of Omaha are none too happy about it. Of course, Omaha is a purple dot; it will be interesting to see if ICE does the same thing at meatpacking plants in the truly red part of the state.

Trump owns MAGA. He always owned MAGA. He invented MAGA. He is MAGA. So why does this chief jester to Henry VIII get all horse-racy with breathless subheads like 'How Trump Won Custody...' what horseshit. It's bad enough that our civilization is collapsing under the weight of Nazi sludge, but we have to endure the mindless yapping of mental chihuahuas while it happens.
