China to maybe authoritarian but at least they're not erratic. If the world is trending authoritarian, pick the guys who are crazy, but not ten different ways every day.

As for Biden, what choice did he have, really, politically? The tariffs were baked in by the time he came to office. What's more at no political expense on his end. He could have helped lower inflation by cutting them a bit, but it would have hurt him with Dems traditional base.

As for "Japanese" vehicles...lol, you all wear your ignorance heavily. Japan makes a LOT of cars here already and have for decades. They build cars where they sell them. They hire a lot of technical and blue collar workers from the OEM level down (Tier 1, 2, 3).

The China/Korea/Japan relationship is so complex...I side with imthis being total propaganda on China's part... can't see it anytime soon, but if it did shift, it would be because USA burned everything down.

I watch news on NHK World nearly every day. (NHK is Japan's national broadcaster, and NHK World is their international English-language service. Here in Maryland, we can watch it free over the air via Maryland Public Television.) It will be very interesting to see how and whether they report on this. So far, there is nothing on the website, and there is no "breaking news" chyron on the live broadcast. Maybe they will choose to ignore China's provocation.

The last few days, coverage has been dominated by the Myanmar earthquake, the arrival of peak cherry blossoms, and the Trump story du jour.

They're not talking about this story at NHK World. The only China story is Beijing's announcement of more threatening military exercises near Taiwan. The biggest US-related story is that PM Ishiba is asking Trump to exempt Japan from auto tariffs, given that Japan is the biggest foreign investor in the US.

Trump’s been MCGA from the beginning. His hats, gold sneakers, watches, and trademarks all made in China.

His Nobel Prize isn’t far off. After all, he’s helping bring all sorts of people together despite their histories.

China, Korea and Japan getting closer is but his latest achievement.

Trump is going to destroy our country. NO THIRD TERM!!! The second is bad enough. So far, I haven’t seen any move to GREAT. Even the so called “savings”, I won’t believe it until I see concrete proof. Not Trump or Musk’s “word” it is true.
