Florida has a Stand Your Ground Law. Do they not expect people to retaliate with guns in a state with permit-less carry if masked men threaten them?

This is terrorism and police state behavior. How can an outraged public oppose such intolerable actions.

JVL that point about someone with a conceal carry permit intervening was exactly what I was thinking when I saw the Tufts video.

If I saw a young woman being approached by six men then I wouldn't be able to stand aside?!

No badge no face could also open the floodgates to imposters

Show your face show your badge if you don’t you must be hiding something from the American people! This is very SCARY appalling wrong!😑

When Trump pardoned the 1/6 insurrectionists, I wondered at the time if he was effectively deputizing a goon squad. I also wondered if my imagination was running wild, and now I'm not so sure.

Trump doesn’t have any problem with putting people In danger for a good scene in his ongoing show. Makes for great television. Think how many views there will be when a real tragedy happens. Think about how wonderfully staged our cabinet meetings are at the White House.

All flags placed just so, plenty of visual props ( MAGA and Gulf of America Hats ) , and all the glowing accolades from the sycophants! Does Trump make them all sit on tacks at these meetings, because most like a bit distressed.

Dude! I’ve been saying this for months! They are trying to provoke us all so they krank things up a notch. I even think the tariffs are part of it. It’s a lot easier to take over when it’s chaos already.

What are our legislators doing to protect us?

Mr. Egger is this legal?

So ramped up deputizing is a great way to get the equivalent of brown shirts. No ID, no accountability, and an entitled/abusive attitude. MAGA has found yet another loophole to sic the mob on the country.

This over the top police action is just a continuation of the militarization of our police departments that has been going on for decades because conservatives are terrified by life and their authoritarian nature leads to authoritarian government. Read Radley Balco's "Rise of the Warrior Cop". It's all unnecessary, but conservatives love it. They, conservatives, are the enemy, always have been.

Unfortunately federal law enforcement officers are not required by law to identify themselves, even when making an arrest. There are some internal rules and regulations, but I am not sure what those of ICE are. I am sure we can guess that one.

Timothy D's avatar

This is not common knowledge.

Ben Gruder's avatar

Really??? How can they expect compliance. Without identification, they could be MS13.

Jeff Biss's avatar

Not identifying themselves as law enforcement has to change. When Democrats retake congress they can change that to be a requirement. It's also dangerous for them to not identify themselves because someone could shoot them as criminals trying to abduct someone as JVL says.

Sherry's avatar

Seriously JVL, law enforcement can't come out against this. Trump would put them in even more danger than what they are doing now. He can get them swatted with his followers and ruin them financially with his vindictive law suits.

We need an investigative reporter to try and identify these plain clothed agents. It wouldn't surprise me if they are J6 pardon recipients.
