Seriously? Seriously?

He jets around the world making deals and announces everything he does ad nauseam on social media, but someone points out that jr is doing what he accused Hunter of, and they have a hissy fit?

Creepy, crawly crooks.

Hey, is anybody aware of this story?

https://whowhatwhy.org/culture/education/revisionist-history-101-oklahoma-to-teach-trumps-big-lie-in-high-schools/

https://truthout.org/articles/new-oklahoma-school-curriculum-requires-students-to-learn-the-big-lie/

Going forward, the Oklahoma high school curriculum is going to require that students learn the big lie as though it were legitimate history, insisting that its inclusion teaches "critical thinking."

It's Oklahoma. I'm sure Florida and Texas legislators are furiously taking notes.

We used to making fun of spoiled rich brat kids in movies now the “government” wants you respect and lick their boots.

it's true that Don Jr and Hunter Biden are not the same. Don Jr is way more corrupt.

I wonder if Sam isn't feeling a bit of schadenfreude? He left Politico when management decided to lick Maga boots a little more often. What goes around, comes around.

It wasn't long ago that MAGA world was in high dudgeon over alleged "censorship" by the government. Turns out they've very much in favor of censorship by the government, if it means Trump stifling criticism of himself and his spawn. They just portray such criticism as a form of "corruption," in the same way that they style any impediment to Trump's will as "corruption."

At least Hunter Biden is in recovery. Don Jr. is still out there.

Both sobering but also hilarious because Axel Springer is viewed as skewed enough to the right as being right wing propaganda in Europe.

I am not Axel Springer, but if I were, there would be nothing more amusing to me than watching U.S. fascists tear apart their country based on my web site, which they could only really eliminate by "Chi-Com" like control of the internet. (I know they could do some terrible financial stuff, but, I think Herr Springer has enough on hand to live out his days comfortably within the fortress of Europe.)

As Andrew Joyce said in this thread, "Every accusation is a confession". This is about the most concise expression I have heard of the recurring projection that characterizes the "defense by offense" of Trump. He learned well from Roy Cohn, didn't he? The story should be that MAGA has the temerity to make these accusations right after Musk did his best to move the needle in the EU elections.

Has the Post "dramatically changed" its op-ed pages though? I'm not, for one minute, defending Jeff Bezos, but to me that whole matter looks more performative than actual. I've continued subscribing to the Post and other than the departure of Ruth Marcus, the op-ed section looks pretty much the same as it was, for better or worse.

Fight this, Politico!

Trump owns the DOJ and Bondi, but he does not own all judges or juries.

Yet.

Let’s see…drug use, check…shady business dealings he has no qualifications for, check…trading on his father’s name and position, check…

Exactly what was wrong with the comparison, again?

Well, Don Jr is getting his money from Russia instead of Ukraine. I think that was the most offensive part to them.

The comparison is only wrong as to proportion of grift:

Hunter Biden trafficked in mostly 100k at most increments, whereas Don Jr. is teeing up billions in pay for play.

Same general unhingedness, though. :)
