The point of all of this is not the safety of our country, but the security of the regime. Following the 2025 playbook.

The rampant dismissal of legit, experienced law enforcement professionals, to be replaced with O-turd's loyal sychophants, while they build an army of Gestspo secret police leaves the U.S. open and vulnerable to external threats.

Would love to see the guy who was forced out based on his friendship file a First Amendment lawsuit. There are probably others who have the same claim.

Maybe a tad off topic, but I also feel that the polls showing that Dems are viewed worse than Trump is based off who that voter thinks of as a Democrat. I also think this is sort of used as the trendy topic that gives the Republicans a get out of free card.

Tim, you also need to take a look at this gem in the NYT today (gift link):

“ Air Force Denies Early Retirement for Transgender Men and Women -

The service issued a memo on Wednesday that will force at least a dozen transgender servicemen and women to lose lifetime benefits.”

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/08/us/politics/air-force-transgender-service-members-early-retirement.html?unlocked_article_code=1.ck8.iTir.mJuLevElogVD&smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare

These service members transitioned while active duty under the rules in place during the Biden administration, and have between 15 and 18 years of service, thus making them eligible for reduced benefits under early retirement. They all requested early retirement and their requests were approved.

Now the DOD has rescinded their retirement approvals and they are being forcibly separated from the military with NO BENEFITS. Personally, I find the whole thing unconscionably cruel. This administration’s capacity for inflicting pain seems to have no bounds.

Thanks for getting angry. I try to refrain from using the word "evil," but, boy, these people.

Evil is as evil does. These people are evil. Feel free to say it. It’s true.

So, if these people sue for wrongful dismissal, does that not lead to a huge liability for keeping Bongino and Patel in their roles? Does that recklessness not make it easier to build a case to impeach them?

Didn't Oliver Stone write "Hell is the impossibility of reason" (Platoon I think).

What has happened to this agent is beyond comprehension.

I have been given my jotters (the sack/fired) but I have ALWAYS asked to face the person who wishes to sack me, so he can tell me to my face.

Some do it reluctantly (don't like confrontation), others gleefully.

It feels from this side of the pond, that the USA is slowly sleepwalking into a kind of pseudo Putin's Russia.

That old adage of you get the Government you vote for springs to mind................

Good on you, Tim. Said everything that needed saying. Now it just needs saying by every other decent person on the planet.

So long as trump or Vance or any Project 2025 folks are in power, THE US CANNOT BE PROTECTED!!!!

The voters made sure of this when they put (not only trump), but the republicans in charge of both the House and Senate, in power!!!!

This was known BEFORE the election, that the plan was to eliminate any and every non-sycophant to trump!!!!

This is what MAGA wants. They think every rank and file member of the government is compromised by conspiracy. I am a person who has always been skeptical of government overreach when it comes to law enforcement, who has been frustrated with the lack of urgency around right wing terrorism and hate groups, who has been angry at the over policing of black Americans and Muslim Americans. And even I feel alarmed and appalled at how this administration is treating the FBI and DOJ. Reform? Yes. Destruction? No.

P2025 is not about reform. It’s about tearing down the existing government and replacing it with a Christian Nationalist authoritarian government like Viktor Orban has in Hungary, or like Turkey has. Russell Vought is Rasputin, and Trump is his puppet.
