The R’s in my childhood used “flag burning” to get the vote from WWII and Korean veterans to vote for them. These veterans mostly from the Midwest were appalled at that Dems supported it as free speech.

You can conduct a flagburning ceremony at home or in a public setting. Before burning, fold the flag properly and ensure that the fire is large enough to consume the entire flag without leaving remnants.
During the ceremony it is customary to salute the flag, recite the Pledge of Allegiance, and observe a moment of silence as the flag burns.
