I'm unsure whether you're addressing the Bulwark crew, or some generalized group of DeSantis supporters. If it's the former:
They don't support DeSantis. They are actually quite critical of him.
They support Biden for the general election.
They support not-Trump for the Republican nominee because they feel Trump is a uniquely malignant force that should be kept from the White House at all costs (I agree). As poorly as DeSantis appears to be doing, he's still the general favorite for Trump's greatest competition.
The media seems to focus on the presidential elections (2024). But the really bad laws originate at the state level, and those elections happen almost every year. Sometimes more than once a year. So a question I hear from anchors on MSNBC and CNN, like, "how do these ant-choice laws affect Biden's chances of winning in 2024" are tangential. We need GOTV for state legislations and governors.
