Don't think "HE" can fire judges but "HE" sure can break a lot of things and has failed many times of and is a convicted Felon. What more can I say?

The DOJ may be his private law firm, but he’s got “outside counsel” in the form of Paul, Weiss, Skadden, and the other sell-outs who have given him a $1BN war chest. Luckily, at Wall Street hourly rates, that’s not as many hours as it will take to accomplish his goals.

With relentless propaganda, the Trump regime will try to convince Americans that we oppose lawful efforts to deport undocumented persons back to their home countries. If I support the rule of law, then I should not object if deportations comply with US immigration laws and the Consititution. I should not object to lawful, normal deportations even if carried out in a manner that would prioritize those whom our Government has probable cause to believe are engaging in criminal gang activity. However, the transportation of Mr. Abrego Garcia and others on March 15 appears to have been carried out in violation of a court order, with no due process in violation of the 5th amendment in order to inflict a cruel and unusual punishment, relegation into a black-hole foreign concentration camp in the dictatorship of El Salvador, a cruel and unusual punishment that violates the 8th amendment - a cruel and unusual punishment which Trump and his collaborators are threatening to extend to American Citizens. One does not need to be moral or righteous or even Christian to oppose these acts of flamboyant un-American fascism - one need only have reasonable concerns about one's own rights and liberties under our Constitution which are now being proudly and loudly threatened by Trump and his regime. We are all - all of us - are Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Too many multisyllabic words, Bill.

It ruined my immersion. /s

Bill, your piece on Trump's stream of thought may have been a parody, but all the references to his getting his ducks in a row for 2028 are scaring the beejeebies out of me.

I love Bill's parody-voice of Trump's internal debate on S-canning Pete. But there's a flaw in your reference to the Roy Cohn nostalgia Trump is feeling, in his tortured soul. You seem to hint he'll have to drop the axe, but you forget that Roy's cardinal advice to his protege was to never, ever, ever admit you mucked up. Trump eats and breathes Roy's code of dishonorable conduct. I say it's 50/50 what he does about his Pete Problem. As Roy's ghost whispers into his worried head.

In the same context, a question about shingles I'm guessing would get 9% favorability because they hate a leaky roof.

I wonder if Trump & Co. don’t prize Pete because he’ll uncomplainingly deploy the military on US soil if Trump tries to invoke the Insurrection Act to cancel or invalidate the 2026 elections….

Gallup is conducting a new poll by surveying people to find out who in the public was NOT on Pete's Signal chats.

I'd love to see Pete go down, but right now, I am not seeing anything from MAGAland that suggests he's in real danger of being fired. Trump takes almost all of his cues from the MAGA mediaverse, and until they turn on Pete, I think he's safe. The rest of that Trump thought bubble was hilarious, though - especially "Kristi has bad judgment". You think?

Hey, Pete, remember that old saying, "Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean people aren't really out to get you!"

You'll know it's over when you smell the fumes.

Loved Bill's take on reading Trump's mind today! Although I think you give Trump more credit than he is due- that seems like way too much thinking for his mush mind. But still quite entertaining to read this Friday morning. Thanks guys, for the fantastic writing each week.

Also Bill can't help using a more mature vocabulary than Trump has ever had. But I still loved it, too.

I’m not surprised, but it does take your breath away to see Marc Thiessen go full fashy.

Good point. I must admit to missing some of that stuff from the 00’s. When I think of Thiessen, I think of his sanewashing to normies in the Washington post during Trump 1. Times have changed a bit since the “good” old days of Trump 1. lol.

It seems to no longer be an issue but Hegseth has apparently copied from a secure system the information (presumably classified) that he got on the attacks onto his signal groups (including the one with his wife and lawyer). If he did copy classified information into a chat group with people that have no clearance, isn't that a prima facie case of violating laws governing classified materials?

Well, aktually...

It depends...

Is Pete a Republican or a Democrat? If Democrat, then he should be locked up. If Republican, he should be awarded the Medal of Freedom only after receiving an apology from the Democrats, the media, Ukraine and the penguins of the Heard and MacDonald Islands. It says so right in the Constitution, so...
