Weird. Just plain weird. What does Tucker do for Trump? What does Tucker have on Trump? WTF?

Doesn't his son Buckley WORK in the White House?

Why doesn’t TC interview an Israeli if he wants to know what is a Jew and why do Jews have a right to the land? Interviewing a right-wing fundamentalist Christian who has only lived in Israel for a short time doesn’t give him permission to speak for all Israelis.

And by the way on my first visit to Israel, I was grilled at the airport before I got on my return home flight. Why? Maybe because I was crying to leave behind the people I loved. Who knows what the red flag was. But that’s how it goes Carlson when you live in a world where people are faced with the daily possibility of terrorism——What a privileged piece of $&@!!!!!!

All these con artists playing each other, egged on by the master. Rats in a bag.

There is a simple explanation for why Trump keeps him in good graces. They're both Putin agents. Carlson lavished praise on Russia in his last visit - so over the top he gushed about how awesome the (highly curated) Moscow grocery store that he visited was, and how beautiful the (again, highly curated) buildings are on his little walkabout that, natch, went nowhere near the actual average dismal apartment blocks that Muscovites live in outside the sanitized Disneyland sector. He shares Putin's version of Russian Empire history and admires it. He constantly "just asks questions" and consistently takes a stance against supporting Ukraine, as does Vance. Thus we have Putin enablers in all three of them: Trump, Carlson, Vance. It takes priority over even pro-Israel sentiment for them.

CBS should make a soap opera featuring Tucker - they could call it "The rich and shameless".

You would think that some of these rich people had brains and would use their wealth and power to help their fellow man. The religious right is not loving and Tucker exhibits all it's worst traits.

Will, Fascinating piece. I find it weird of all these goofy people you mentioned, that they are sometimes bat shit crazy and sometimes they say something something completely rational. Maybe their doctors should check their meds? Anyway, the resistance is more than happy to have these so called influencers at each others throats, either way the maga coalition will be bleeding support. And blood is in short supply. Don't be concerned with who gets a WH visit with this bubble boy president, it's like a casino, any sucker is welcome as long as they have money to lose.

Re: "Islamic agent." I've wondered whether, long-view, Trump and the US are the agent; specifically an agent of Sunni Islam against apostate Shia, as embodied by Iran.

The US-Israel relationship is broken and will be very difficult to fix. Large parts of both left and right want nothing to do with Israel, thanks entirely to Netanyahu and his supporters on the radical right. In the US there is only a rump of aging, out of touch Dems and Reps who can't bring themselves to acknowledge what Netanyahu has done in order to stay out of prison and the Christian Zionists who support Israel for reasons having nothing to do with providing a secure homeland for Jews.

Western values, in the form of historical memory, and western interests, in the form of resisting Russia and promoting a democratic ally, aligned to provide strong support for Israel despite the ongoing occupation. This alignment meant that antisemitism remained marginalized in the west, a lesson learned by both Le Pen and Corbyn. There was still room for criticism of Israeli policies, especially in Western Europe, but antisemitism was seen as something different and unacceptable. Now, with the almost universal and fully justified condemnation of Netanyahu and his government, the guardrails have fallen and antisemitism is closer to the mainstream than it has been since the 1930s. Carlson pays no price for his antisemitism because he can dress it up as a policy disagreement over Israel. Thanks, Bibi.

There is no antisemitism in condemning Netanyahu and the Christian Zionists anymore than condemning anti-Trump-ism and Christian Nationalists. Both Netanyahu and Trump should be in prison. Condemnation of them has nothing to do nationality, religion, or IMHO, anything else. They are both evil, guilty of knowingly killing hundreds of thousands in their greed for power, and money in Trumps' case. Fear of prison/loss of power is their driving force. No "Death Penalty" for either of them! Prison. Isolation. They deserve no less.

Instead of quoting them can we just stoke the flames of their petty little feuds and hope they all self immolate?

I might be a simpleton, but I can’t believe we live in a world where we quote and have to take seriously people like Tucker Carlson, Laura Loomer, Mike Huckabee

Donna Ryan's avatar

The fact that someone like Laura Loomer can instantly have the president's ear to get skilled, professional national staff at the NSA and NSC fired and allegedly block the appointments of scientists at the FDA and US attorneys is insane. We are a broken and dying country.

It's almost like Donald Trump is the President and dictates policies of the US government with posts on his own made-up social media platform.

Parrhizzia's avatar

I don’t think it is like that at all.

I think it’s like Netanyahu is the President of the United States, and dictates policies of the Israeli government to the US military to follow.

Tucker Carlson is evil as fuck. He's a demagouge who probably got A's in debate but was later taken out behind the prep school and had the shit beat out of him. I had never spent much time listening to him, mostly knew about him through short clips. I agonized my way through the two hour plus "interview" with Huckabee, my blood pressure spiking. There is no question, none whatsoever, that he presents a crystal clear and present danger to the democracy of the United States. And yes, he would wipe the floor with Marco and JD. He must be stopped in the womb, not allowed to flower into the worst presidential Nazi we have ever seen on the world stage.

"Carlson claimed that he was denied an embassy escort in Israel, meaning he wouldn’t have the American government’s protection after he landed. He also insisted that the U.S. embassy staff in Israel refused to transmit his private jet’s details to the Israeli military—implying the Israeli government might shoot down the plane. Neither of these accusations appeared to be true."

Here's why I think it is actually true - it's a very, very specific set of things to lie about. What do we know about Carlson? He's a rich, white, nepo baby who lives on an island, flies in a private jet, and must be extraordinarily paranoid and entitled.

Someone like that WOULD ask for embassy escort (I would never have thought of it). Someone like that WOULD like to ensure the military knows their private jet details.

Will, just wanted to ask you to interpret Loomer’s ‘I am so over it (Carlson? Being ignored? IDK)’ post. If she’s ‘so over it’, then why is she, I think the term is, “shitposting’ about it? I don’t get it. What is she, ‘over’? Besides perhaps, over- medicated …please advise. Asking for a friend. Thanks

Or maybe "all of the above", plus the combination of being totally self-absorbed and not at all self-aware. Truly the Renaissance Woman from Hell.
