“Re-Indicted and It Feels So Good”

The one thing I have not heard any pundits on television, or in print, talk about in regard to all of the indictments leveled against trump in NY, Florida, DC, and now Georgia, is this:

Trump hasn’t had to be in court for the civil trials against him, but he most certainly has to be in the criminal trials.

Does anyone seriously believe that trump can sit in court for 6-8 weeks (or longer) during each trial, having to watch and listen to a parade of witnesses, many of whom he thought were loyal and trusted allies, testify against him, without being able to shout “LIAR” or other insults? He can’t get up and walk around, he can’t blurt out the shit that crosses his mind…

Does anyone else think it’s going to be a hurdle too far for him? Televised, or not, I don’t think he can do it for 6 or more hours per day, day after day after day. Then rinse and repeat at the next trial…

I know we’re not getting into Hannibal Lector territory here, but I’m betting the Judges are going to have to come up with something to keep him in line – revoke bail perhaps?

In response to the Georgia indictments, Donald Trump has promised (threatened?) a big, huge, giant, enormous press conference to (for sure) tell his side of the story and (supposedly) provide evidence that the charges are all a big scam and conspiracy against him and the others accused -- in that order.

Allow me to save you some undue stress by highlighting the content of the presser, in the (un)likely event that you have better things to do with your time.

1) He will feel sorry for himself and proclaim himself to be persecuted, because that is what a professional victim does.

2) He will use a wide range of personal insults and otherwise denigrating terminology against those who formally oppose him, because that is what an immature manchild does.

3) He will initiate a substantial fundraising operation on the back of the charges, because that is what a grifter does.

4) He will use codespeak encouraging his supporters to rise up and fight to save him in whatever way necessary, because that is what a mafioso thug does.

5) He will promise that evidence of his innocence is forthcoming, but not deliver it, because that is what a desperate guilty person does.

That’s the one script he never deviates from. It is familiar to the point of exhaustion. It is embarrassing, degrading, and disgusting, to the point that you will feel the need to take a hot, cleansing shower afterward. Because that is what Donald Trump does.
