I am 70 . When I was in grade school or maybe. early junior high kid I was reading the Seattle Post Intelligencer editorial page at home while doing breakfast dishes .(I also watched Meet the Press in grade school , what can you say ).
You were one of the syndicated columnists. My mother snatched the paper away from me and said "that woman will poison your mind " . You were CLEARLY a Republican , and she feared I would admire a female columnist and perhaps turn away from supporting the progressive income tax as an adult.
. The only other reading material she ever took away was Lady Chatterly's Lover . So you are up there in the pantheon of dangerous influences , along with any admirable Protestant and beauty writers who suggested dyeing your hair .
