We need to recall that Massie was the Great White Hope not only of Never-Trumpers, but of mainstream Democrats who fantasized about a Republican Party that could resist Trump. JVL imagined that as well about Massie, never mind that Massie was to the right of Heinrich Himmler on everything except Epstein and Iran.
The results show three things:
1. The GOP voter base is so mentally zombie-fied that it makes an actual amok-running mob of zombies look like self-actualizing individualists. And the average Republican voter has no more sense of civic responsibility than a pack of hyenas. They want to destroy America as revenge for their own shitty lives.
2. I suspect that to be a Republican politician it really helps to be a perv, or at least have some sort of icky kink. All their moralizing and sermonizing is just psychological projection.
3. Multiply MMTLP by 10,000 and you have an accurate picture of the US equities market. Everyone from the billionaire tech mogul building data centers on borrowed money to the dumbest MAGA-ite investing his life savings in meme stocks is part of it, and Trump’s SEC will green-light all of it. America’s financial picture now resembles the Tulip Mania or John Law’s South Sea Bubble.
It is impossible to even imagine how many people are going to apply for compensation for perceived wrongs by the government. It will take decades to sort the claims out. By the way, can I apply to be compensated by the State for the taxes I have paid that will be part of the $1.8 billion slush fund?
I don't understand why Massie's personal life is a story at all, or should matter to anyone. If he was doing whatever he did with consenting adults (or non-sentient sex toys), I don't give a hoot.
