Useful idiot. That's all I think Trump is. I think the people pulling the strings are Musk and Project 2025 (as others have pointed out). However, I don't think Musk and P25 are aligned. It seems there are 2 puppet masters here. But whatever the case may be, the eventual outcome of all of this won't be good.

I vacillate between believing Trump is a moron (more properly, a "fucking moron" in Rex Tillerson's unforgettable epithet) or a very slick huckster, whose major superpower is his ability to use others' weaknesses to his advantage.
Say you're his political opponent -- a fairly normal Republican straight white guy, but one who walks with a limp and sometimes stumbles a bit -- then Trump will use that to make fun of how you. He'll come out with a schoolyard nickname and crack a funny, like, "Now I like X, I hear he's a nice guy, but did you ever notice he walks like he's had a few too many? ...Do you think he's been hitting the bottle too hard?? Maybe so...could be... a lotta people say so...." etc.
Sickening.
Of course, his other superpower is his sociopathic level of narcissism and dishonesty.
At some point in his life, Trump may have been a slick huckster. Now he is a doddering old man manipulated by slick hucksters. In the Oval office with Musk or Vance, he willingly relinquishes power to them. He no longer cares about real power. Money is his power and he wants all of it -- even if he has to demean the office of the presidency to get it by selling trading cards and worthless meme coins to get his 30 pieces of silver.

Don't forget Putin -- he's a major Trump string-puller.
