I’m a relatively recent subscriber, seeking perspectives from a conservative position vis a vis the current sorry state of the GOP. I want to read material from conservatives whose intelligence I can respect, even if I may disagree with their (your) conclusions. I’ve also started reading The Daily Monitor for the same reason.
I get a lot of anti-Trump coverage from the Bulwark — which, although it’s reassuring to read from ambivalent/RINO/ex- Republicans, still pretty much echoes everything else in my blue big-city news bubble — but I have to say I’m not sure what or whom the editorial team does stand behind. I’d like to encourage you and your team to boost some people and ideas that are, in your view, where things could head if we could get our shit (back) together as one nation.
I love The Triad and wish for you to live long and prosper.
I am sure someone has told you this but I will too. I pay attention to politics. I used to watch a lot on YouTube that said every day that the Republicans have made a mistake and are going down. All through the election last year. I read the hype and it never happened as they said to get the clicks and views. I just could not with them anymore. I pay to be a member here and it is the only one I pay for. I most likely should not pay the fee for it as things are tight, but what you give me is clarity. Not the false hope just for the views. I understand more and watch and read more here. I never comment on things. This I felt I could. Thanks for all you do. And for all who tell the story in a way that I think is honest.
Grateful for you and the BW. A place to find sanity - conversation about what is happening in our world that is not intended to ratchet up our anxiety in order to retain our attention.
