Friends, I'd like to share something that's happened to me in the last 24 hours. It has nothing to do with the Post decision, but I have nowhere else to share it. Friends, I'd like to share something that's happened to me in the last 24 hours. It has nothing to do with the Post decision, but I have nowhere else to share it. My wife and I live in MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ. We are actively volunteering with the local Dem campaigns. Despite our neighborhood being bright red, we have a few good friends who we know feel as we do about the election. So, yesterday we put out a Harris sign in the yard. I was holding off but when Trump signs started going up, I decided to do it. My wife offered signs to two other couples we know support Harris and both wives immediately said yes...one husband said no because he was afraid and the other was silent. One wife put the sign up anyway and her husband took it down. If there is any hope of prevailing on Nov 5...it is in women. They seem to have a courage that I see lacking in the men around me. Sorry for just unloading.
Absolutely..... more and more I think it's misogyny, and their male insecurities, that are holding the men back from making a very easy decision which they'd have no trouble making if the candidate was a male.
I have a friend in PA who’s wife Patty was upset that her 5 year old grandson’s bus route passed a house with two enormous banners that read, Fcku Biden and Fcku Pelosi. Patti made a FB post kindly asking that they consider removing the banners given that young children were being exposed to profanities directed at their President and House Speaker ( at the time). A few days later, a third banner went up on the same lawn:
Women are used to having to be assertive and courageous in facing hostility in ways that men haven't had to be. Courage must be used to grow, like a muscle.
And I think men, particularly white men, of which I am one, in general, haven't had to fight for what they have in the way non-whites and women have had to. It's why I think black women vote in such reliable numbers. Having had to overcome the double-whammy of being both not white and not male, they understand more as a culture what their rights mean to them and what it takes to keep them.
Interesting. I’ve always chalked it up to having to be super efficient. We have a lot to do and can’t waste time. We have to be direct, disciplined, and no nonsense.
I think that women will vote in historic numbers, and that if any group makes this a decisive victory it will be us. There’s just so much more at stake for us.
If we are to save democracy this time, it is people like you and your wife working tirelessly. I am not able to do as much but will keep writing letters this weekend. Thank you!

David, That’s the great thing about the Bulwark. We have a place to unload and know that we can.
Can't really see Katherine Graham capitulating to TFG
Agree! So many signs are pointing that way.
Thanks for that David Cooper!

I shared this story with a friend and...lol...she said, "...and you are just figuring all this out now"
I am at the gym but reading between sets. I am trying to hold back tears in public.

I don't think so. They endorsed HRC in 216.
Hopefully a sign there are shy Harris voters in 2024 rather than the shy Trump voters who turned 2016 in his favor.

Cursing, name-calling - these people think that makes them strong.
Jesus, they really ARE awful people aren't they, the magas?

May I just say I love the juxtaposition of "dragon" + "librarian"? Brilliant!
Ditto!
Thank you...this is a very interesting point. I think you are right.

We will spank them at the ballot box.
Ohhh. Can Tucker watch the spanking? He evidently enjoys spankings. Just talking about it made his voice crack!
My wife and I are both pulling a triple shift at the polls on the 4th and 5th...and phone banking like crazy. I pray you are right.
Bless you, David, and your wife!

Bless you, Tai!
Blessings to both of you, David
Trump's a makeup wearing rapist ghoul with strong bisexual vibes. Those men are pathetic.
They admire it, aspire to it.
