I appreciate the information, Charlie, and we would be fools to ignore yet another warning signal about Biden's chances of reelection.

BUT the cynic in me questions the notion that concern about immigration dropping under Trump and rising under Biden is anything but political.

How is this different than the GOP's historical 'alarm' about the deficit BUT ONLY WHEN A DEMOCRAT IS IN THE WHITE HOUSE?

Gee, I wonder if another migrant caravan will be headed our way in about 9 months?

Yes, I would say that the 9-month weather forecast is partly to likely quite caravan-ey.

At the same time that I am - and many of us - are cynical, I do think that Biden and Democrats have to address the issues raised, of course. And I'm NOT saying that there are not legitimate concerns.

But I hate the predictable nonsense from the right.

If тАЬthe American peopleтАЭ want border reform, then they need to pressure their US Representatives and Senators to put forward and vote on a comprehensive immigration reform package.

The "American people" don't want immigration reform. They prefer having a permanent underclass. Change my mind, as they say.

Exactly, it isn't Biden's policies, it's what Fox and CNN say are Biden's policies. In other words pro Trump lying propaganda. How do you fight that? Obviously not with reality.

Apparently, it is not only Fox and other right wing media are the problem, but even NYT and WaPo drive the narrative of "our country is doomed because Biden is old and and democratic party is bad at everything".

Yes, this an example of how completely asymmetric and propaganda led our entire Media ecosystem has become. If all the same facts were in place but Trump was in the White House, Fox News and other conservative media outlets would be shouting loudly 24x7 about how amazing his policies are and how well they are working. Republicans would be saying the border is the most secure it has ever been. Other media would either not be reporting on it at all or just noting people seem to be happy. Plug in the economy, foreign policy or anything else and itтАЩs the same scenario playing out.

The media in the US has been systematically taken over by Right wing conglomerates. They find fascism acceptable.

Very comparable to the point I wanted to make: when you see a polling graph like this one without a comparable news event, it's not unreasonable to suggest tha this is a purely partisan reaction.
