America has a loss that he will be out of leadership. We complain about lack of honesty; well, here we are! Yes, the debate with Vance sucked. I’d love to see it now. Our hearts are with Minnesota!
Great interview, Tim. Walz's humanity and leadership have shone through in dealing with this horrific situation, backed by the resolve to uphold what is right and good by the people of Minnesotans.
The end goal is to end GOP rule and punish those that were complicit in this junta's murders, crimes in general and their abuse of power. The transformation of ICE into the GOP's Gestapo and the GOP's replace of our constitution with its Unitary Executive are high crimes that demand hangings.
Great interview. Governor Walz and Minnesotans have risen to this moment, and I thank them all. I think it was an odd choice for Tim Miller to take this as an opportunity to get a dig in about the vice presidential debate in 2024 - but I think Walz's honest response was dead-on.
Great interview. I'm on and off fan of Walz but think he's doing a sound job of leading Minnesota through this crucible. They are crucial to where the nation goes from here. I have been impressed with the post-Floyd team they have put together of Walz, Ellison, Frey, Police Chief Ohara, and County Attorney Moriarty. I'm convinced that democracy will be saved in the states and cities.
I just think Walz is very impressive. Again, dealing with an impossible situation. Or well, a series of impossible and horrible situations. Of course I could be wrong but he just seems to be a very decent guy.
I find the criticisms of him re "working" with the latest Twimp lackeys to be a little bit much. US voters and the Republican party created this version of the federal government. When you listen to people who actually understand how state and federal jurisdictions and laws interact, you see just how difficult things are for a governor in his position.
If he were a "perfect politician" I don't think I would like him so much. I prefer a decent human doing the best they can. But that is just me.
Tim - Thank you for the Walz interview. I feel like I'm in a minority who regards Walz as a decent person, working very hard to serve and protect his constituency, the citizens of Minnesota. Is he God's gift to politics? Probably not. I look back at 2024; Vice President Walz vs. Vice President Vance. No contest for me. I hope you have more conversations with Tim Walz in the future. I watch and listen to him and don't have the least urge to put my fist through the screen. Can't say that for many of those in charge of things in Washington today. Thanks again.
i understand that Walz is dealing with Trump and has to try to sound somewhat positive about the meeting because otherwise etc etc but it makes me as sick as a pig to hear anyone give any credit at all to this appalling murderous shit of a president who has no intention of allowing an impartial investigation into these killings ... and of course there is also the governmental lying about dead migrants held in their custody. See George Packer's article today in the Atlantic.
Before Alex P was shot dead he was brutally beaten. Like Rodney King. Who was awarded millions. Now look where we are in terms of accountability.
Not a fan of Walz as a leader and this interview did nothing to change that.
Sure, he seems like a good guy, but after 2 of his citizens were brutally murdered at the hands of ICE, while countless others have been beaten, harassed, stalked & disappeared, he agrees to a conversation with Bovino’s replacement —and Trump? Isn’t the time to demand action when your opponent has literally backed down? What a wasted opportunity to insist that ICE exit the state immediately and to begin arresting those who have been inflicting undue violence on our fellow Americans. Enough already.
Great interview. How about bringing Jeb Bush in for an interview
Excellent interview

Great interview!!
Bulwark's coverage on ICE is very good. Hopefully, it is reaching more and diverse groups of people.

Walz saying ICE should cooperate with police is odd since the Minneapolis Police have been studiously noncooperative from the start.
He didn't say that. He said it was local democracy and specifically that the police in conservative counties DO cooperate.

Walz saying today that ICE should attack immigrants at midnight when they won't resist was the most tone deaf betrayal possible.
He needs to acknowledge that ICE drags away Abuela and stop repeating the Nazi phrase "the worst of the worst."
Good job Tim!
Tim, I cried this weekend, too! I hope yoy feel better. It's been a tough year and week! The clown stole the America I grew up believing in.
Great interview!!!
