I'm a firm believer that there comes a time when you need to let the next generation take the reins and lead. It's time for Joe Biden to lead and pass the torch to a new generation.

It doesn't help when the "centrist" faction of the Democratic party looks to Blame those who didn't support HRC in 2016 for the current dilemma the party faces. As a nation we're facing real threats to our democratic institutions that will require a solid unified front to prevail, the traditional circular firing squad doesn't help.

New first time voters are looking at a future where their standard of living is in a precipitous decline, and a rapidly expanding wealth gap. To bring the next generation into the process we need to get back to electing people who actually serve the majority's needs and stop catering to the wants of a narrow minority. Start with those things that 2/3's of voters support, like serious limits to the Second Amendment, a women's reproductive choice, debt free college educations, cease privatization of government functions, expand social security and Medicare. These things can be the things that will attract a new generation. This will require the old guard to step down.

And when are those "next generation" folks going to actually going to present a candidate for local/state/national office? And back him/her as a viable candidate - a candidate that others will also back? I see lots of complaints about Biden, Pelosi, etc., but I have yet to see them present someone who can actually win an election. Nader! He's older than Biden! So is Sanders! Forget AOC - I already see her as a has-been. They talk big, but want to take their toys (votes) away when they don't get their way1
