I don't think anyone blames Chuck Schumer for the loss of Senate seats in 2024. Dems were fortunate to only lose 4 seats. That being said, I just don't know if Schumer is cut out for this particular moment. He was very good at keeping his caucus together to pass two major reconciliation bills, but this moment calls for something completely different.

Agreed. Dems lost Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Montana. I don't think they would have held onto those seats by running further to the left, or with a different Senate leader.
