I agree with Bill Krisol's assessment that Biden should not debate Trump. But, I would ad a caveat: If Trump agrees in writing to follow the rules and not interrupt and over-talk Biden and if it is clear that Trump's mike will be turned on and off by rule enforcers, then Biden should debate. But...Trump does not follow rules-ever- and there are no consequences for it. I still have a t-shirt that I got from the Lincoln Project after the 2020 presidential debates. It features Biden's aviator glasses and underneath says: "Why don't you shut up, Man?" It was my favorite line of the debate.

My only caveat is that Uncle Joe offers that he will debate Trump, if the loser signs a written statement that Joseph R. Biden was fairly elected presidential of the United States in 2020 with 306 electoral votes and 51.3% of the popular vote, and Donald J. Trump lost the election with 232 electoral votes and 46.9% of the popular vote.
If I were advising Biden I would tell him to shout from the rooftops about the MANUFACTURING BOOM going on in this country!!! At every speech, and by every Democratic spokesperson. We have a MANUFACTURING BOOM going on across this country. Get excited America! Smile. This is cause for celebration!

Biden should only debate if they have a closed mic system so Trump cannot interrupt. Also they need a strong commentator who will not allow Trump to lie or evade the question. Trump just pontificates on the misleading information he wishes the audience to hear. If he doesn't answer the question in the time limit the commentator needs to say "Mr. Trump, you did not answer the question and then cut the Mic off and move to Biden's question. Biden can get out a good message as long as he isn't interrupted constantly.
Too many Dems and their media allies are afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome. They think Biden can beat Trump, because, well, he's not Trump. But they're wrong. Biden is one candidate who won't beat Trump. After dismal showings in '20 in Iowa and New Hampshire, Jim Clyburn picked Biden off the scrap heap. Had the next primary been in another state, Biden would have been forgotten about. He's not liked and never will be. He's old and shows it. Americans know he doesn't have the mental and physical agility to be president. DC Dems and their media allies better come to their senses. If Dems don't pick a serious nominee for president, their worst fears will be realized in November.
Honestly, given Trump's role in J6, his life -long criminality, his mendacity, his financial vulnerability to foreign influence, etc, etc, etc, Biden should be able to ignore Trump entirely. It speaks volumes about a substantial number of Americans that anyone says they are voting for Trump, third party or staying home. ALL patriots oppose Trump.
I honestly think this is a brilliant strategy. One individual actually governs, the other runs from the law. What a contrast! Thanks, Bill….I hope they are listening!
I have always had a nagging feeling that Trump will never be held accountable. Except for the Civil cases and the New York state cases . They are the only ones where Trump is being held accountable. The federal cases from Jan 6 and the Classified Docs he will probably never go to trial before November. Sad.
