I just read an article in the NY times about how the War in the Ukraine is increasing our gas prices to $4 a gallon. (I live in OC CA $4 is so last fall) The author of the article states that the American people are wondering if their support of Ukraine is too expensive.
WTF!!!! There are dead children in the streets and NYT thinks…

WTF!!!! There are dead children in the streets and NYT thinks opposing Russia's killing of civilians isn't worth paying more for gas. HELLO! It's gas companies that control gas prices. I don't hear anyone claiming they are bad for putting profits before human lives.
Was this an article by the editorial board? Furthermore, was it an opinion piece or a factual account? I agree that (most) people are being heartless if they oppose helping Ukraine on account of gas prices, but pointing out that it's making some Americans wary is just reporting the news. We shouldn't blame the messenger.
And I'll say that oil company greed outweighing dead Ukrainians is shameful but hardly surprising. It will keep happening as long as they have POTUS to take the flak for them.

It was The Morning by German Lopez. And, to be honest, he did lay a lot of the blame for higher prices on the suppliers.

Amen to that.
