You have to compromise to get things done, neither party should have a monopoly, you need people from all sides to win...

You don't compromise with a rabid dog. You put it down.

Not compromising with the dog itself, but you might have to give up something to get thw dog's voters. You can't change ANYTHING unless you win elections by very comfortable margins.

I'm not sure about that. Specifically, I think the Dems would be better served by trying to motivate more of their own supporters to actually turn out and vote, than by trying to sway Republicans who have made it clear they'd rather burn the nation to the ground than compromise.

What? As you certainly know, Mac Smith, Republicans run amok & claim invisible "mandates" even when they take office as second place voter choices. MAGA has to be exposed, shamed, and a stake driven through its heart (then decapitated). Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, James Clymer, Richard Neal, Gerry Connolly & the rest of the Congressional Poligrips are clearly not gonna lead this crusade.

I agree with what you wrote, I'm just saying, speaking from experience, that it will be hard for Democrates to win if they let themselves get nailed down on some of their pet issues like identity politics, whoever will be their leader come next election cycle.

Let's all hope MAGA/Republicans discredit and disgrace themselves enough this time so squabbling around fringe issues will not be a problem next time.
