Much has been made of the ā€œattempted assassinationā€ (speaking of whataboutery!) of Kavanaugh, and the poor mentally disturbed schlep (the other guy, not Brett) has been charged with attempted murder.

Yes…but, the guy had the UNLOADED gun packed in his bag, not on his person. After reconsidering and calling 911, he put the bag with the gun and other weapons on the ground and walked away from it and gave himself up peacefully, requesting mental health help. I mean, not exactly a rampaging murderous maniac, what?

Speaking of whataboutism: Remember when the GOP got real real protective of speakers of the house after a QAnon follower came to DC from Colorado with a truck full of ammo and an assault rifle to kill Nancy Pelosi the week of J6th? That one wasn't a "cry for help." Can't seem to recall them calling for more protection for political targets back then. So weird! Almost like there's selective outrage from the right depending on if the targeted individual has a D or R next to their name. They could give two shits what happens to Nancy when somebody actually came for her, but god forbid somebody comes after Kavanaugh! Oh heavens no! Hard to feel bad for people who selectively set the precedent of not condemning shit within their own party.
