What a group of deplorables for 2023. And I thought the deplorables of 45 years ago, led by Richard Nixon, could not be beat, but here we are with the authoritarian, would be dictator, D. J. Trump still a threat.

I know who Tuberville is now. In high school English Lit, a senior year elective for me, another student made a comment like, ”What are we now, a bunch of f*gs?” Tuberville is that guy. Not the snickering 13-year-old navigating a new world of sexual identity, but the 17-year-old wanna-be alpha male who has become the dick that he will be without major introspection.

Vivek Ramaswamy says he's "driven by evidence and data." That's of course a half-truth, which is another name for a lie. Scam artists only like evidence and data so they can cherry pick from it to sell a lie. Ironically, the more evidence there is for something, e.g. biological evolution, the easier it is to fool people into denying it, especially if they want to. A few sentences back I see the term "flat-earthers." Flat-earthism may be the most extreme of all the long-debunked versions of natural history. And young-earthism is not far behind. But the most devious scam is "intelligent design," which shrewdly takes no position on the age or shape of earth, or even on common ancestry of species, and instead concentrates on promoting irrational denial of evolution, thus keeping all the people they fooled under a "big tent." Most evolution deniers are not flat-earthers, and contrary to a popular media caricature, most are not even young-earthers. Peddlers of evolution-denial - mostly MAGA culists nowadays - know that their "science" is bogus, but it has never been about the science, only a misguided and paranoid "culture war."

Thank you for having Abbott and his cohort Paxton included as the worst of the worst. Having them as leaders makes life in Texas difficult.

Fully agree, Musk takes the cake. Evil "genius".

“Shamelessness is our brand.” That’s what I think of the GOP when I see these lists. Shameless and proud. This list doesn’t even mention the voters who support these people or excuse their behavior. If I wasn’t American I’d find our slow motion transformation fascinating. Instead it’s frightening and embarrassing.

If you wanted me to take you seriously, you should have included Netanyahu.

We talked about the Lincoln Project before and its ads. I just spent an hour looking at them on YouTube. Highly you suggest you do the same if you've never seen them. Clear, concise reasons to oppose Trump. Depressing, terrifying and enlightening at the same time. Going to soft, relaxing Christmas music with beautiful pictures next to get my blood pressure down before I go to bed.

That’s a lot of food for thought Eva!! As a matter of fact that will keep me up tonight😂

Trump is running ads in/near Iowa with assembled 2020 rally clips where Gov. Reynolds (who endorsed DeSantis) speaks well of him. The way it's done strongly implies her endorsement.

Yep. When the former dude promises to root out the "communists, Marxists, and fascists" who are steering this soon-to-be-great-again nation toward the toilet of doom, I'm sure it's not a gap in his knowledge that he doesn't include Leninists in his kill list. No oversight this; he intentionally gives Steve Banon and his fellows not just a pass, but a warm orange embrace. Maybe a man kiss on the cheek. And it's assumedly not just Leninists excused from his vitriol, but Stalinists too, like his bestie, Vladimir. Marx after all was a humanist who sided with the horribly exploited workers in those hideous, Dickensian factories and mills. Yuk! Foolish man. But I am a bit consternated by his inclusion of 'fascists' in his troika of villainy, even though I'm guessing that's more projection than scientific word-smithing. Donald's heros are after all, fascist autocrats. Real men! Not those pusillanimous, limb-wristed girly men from whom beautiful women turn away; that is, in the extremely rare instances they their wimpy timidity and stick their lips out for a smooch, or rarer still, get their creeping paws smacked away when they try to be like our Donald and grab a bit of p*ssy. So let's hope some astute advisor will point out the inadvertent oversight in Trump's pantheon of bad guys, and our Dear Leader will come out full-throated in praise of fascism, citing the current crop as role models for his avid cult members: Go Putin! ...Let's hear a shout out for Victor (!) Orban! And let's give the adulating, pulsating fans a history lesson, regale them with tales of men who crushed the commies, owned the libs, and made the trains run on time. Yes folks, toss those treasonous and sissy-grooming texts out of your children's classrooms and school libraries and replace them with the Truth about the Great Men of history: Stalin, Mussolini, Franco, Hitler, Putin, and Orban. Our boys need strong men to emulate, and our girls must learn to eschew the weaklings and swoon over and devote their lives to the manly men who will fight like hell and die for true leaders like Donald J. Trump. Or we won't have a country any more.

The deplorableness of Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy and CNN

PLUS: Why Elon Musk platforming Alex Jones and Andrew Tate is deeply un-American

STEVE SCHMIDT

DEC 15

From Steve Schmidt: "I have always enjoyed year-end lists going all the way back to my childhood when I would always be excited to get my hands on the annual Life “Year in Pictures” edition that would coincide with Time’s Man/Woman of the Year (it was called this until 1999, when it was changed to Person of the Year). So it was with that same excitement that I started reading Charlie Sykes’ year-end compendium of deplorables at The Bulwark.

Honestly, I didn’t get very far before being hung up on this artwork banner depicting the 'creature cantina' of MAGA villains, soulless cynics, frauds, accused criminals, seditionists and disordered narcissistic personalities: Wow. Truly.

The Bulwark list seems exceptionally well thought through to me. It has properly included most all of the growling n’er-do-wells in their appropriate ordered ranking of scumbaggery and deplorableness leading up to the most deplorable of all: the erratic antisemite Elon Musk."
