I wish for new blood in the Democrats that can reach both voters just left and just right of middle. Most of all a look towards a more parliamentary form of government. If we had had the "vote of no confidence " we would not be where we are now, ie cutting Medicaid and food to children but spending 95 million on a birthday parade. Ludicrous.
Sometimes....like right now.....I can't believe that a seemingly sentient species is just going to sit tight and let their land and probably the entire planet be destroyed and they don't know what to do. What's lacking in us....it isn't the will to survive. Why can't we figure this out?

I did not read the Ukraine piece, I am sure it is well thought out and well written but in the context of your title question it doesn't matter. trump cannot lose Ukraine because he will switch sides. That is why he is standing on the sidelines now, Putin has already laughed at him and told him to go pack sand. Any control he thought he had of Putin was an illusion and if Europe cannot save Ukraine then trump and sadly the rest of the republican party will join him dancing on Ukraine's grave.
The entire Republican Party looks favorably on Russia and disdainfully on Europe. The animus in the language being used, going back to the Iraq War days, about the Europeans being weak and having leftist policy, over regulation and slow growth, is just right there for all to see. Russia is a powerful ally in their hatred of "Blue States" whether its California, Canada or the Netherlands

He has no concerns about being tagged with "losing" Ukraine because it's alwyas been his mission to transfer Ukraine to his master.
