The protestations by the Trumpist right against empathy fall into the exact same bucket as nearly all their protestations.
Antisemitism? Cancel culture? "Lawfare"? Empathy?
Turns out all these are things are terrific and to be enthusiastically promoted...just so long as the perpetrators are the right sort of people.
Want more people. Let in more immigrants.
