Sure, and the Old Testament God’s answer to evil in the world was to kill others and the New Testament God’s answer was to kill himself.

Haley may well be rising in the GOP ranks, but I still don’t see how she overcomes the dreadful poll numbers (I hate polls!). In their first debate, she held up her hand to still vote for djt if he is party’s convicted nominee. Presuming djt wins nomination, he may well add her as VP to ticket. That is seriously disgusting.

It hardly seems as if anyone is listening to what djt is still spouting…pulling out of NATO, trashing Constitution, slashing federal government, including law and Justice areas. Most of us lived through his first term. If he gets a second term, no one will recognize our country. The pillars that stood will be wiped out. It seems very few believe this would happen. Take off the blinders.

Now that Pence no longer has a political career to resuscitate, perhaps he can offer his testimony on the events of 1/6 to Jack Smith.

The the extent the typical MAGA voters may like Trump for his entertainment value, Mike Pence would be the anti-Trump, a politician so boring that'd the surprise would be maintaining polling around 2%.

Is Pence a better man than Trump? Sure. Is Pence a better politician than Trump? No, not anywhere close. Pence has become a man definitely out of pace with the times. It's an open question whether he's more of an anachronism than Romney.

Should the Christian right prefer Pence to Trump? If most of them weren't power-hungry hypocrites, absolutely. The not so awkward truth is that most of them are power-hungry hypocrites who take sinful pride in insincere public forgiveness of their Tremendous Orange Precious Leader.

Netanyahu has made sure no one will be supporting Israel now, due to his literal ‘overkill’ in Gaza.

He wants war to prevent his expulsion.

Charlie

I agree with you, I’ve wondered if their should be an Israel country and my heart goes out to all Palestinians but for so many here to have the confidence to march against Israel ms for such a horrible attack is well, shocking.

It’s up to the Professors and Students who understand what happened to Civilians in Israel to speak up against this ugly hatred.

It's easy to slap a Jew when you know you won't lose your skin in that game.

That's another reason we see so many left-wing professors and students publicly attacking and smearing Jews: they feel physically safe doing so. They know that we Jews will not hunt, shoot, bomb, kidnap, stab, gut, or otherwise harm them, because while we may hate their free speech, we support it.

If these Kute Kampus Kutups made the same accusations about Islamic fundamentalist jihadists, there's a better than even chance they'd get hurt. They know that and so they zip their lips.

If there's a bigger group of cowards in this nation than Leftist academia, I have yet to see it. Even a MAGA will fight you on the street. An academic would faint at the thought. MAGAs are blowhards, but lefty Ph.D's, as their name suggests, pile it higher and deeper.

"Contrary to the suggestion of the post, there are no US military bases in Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan."

-----

While it no longer should, the idiocy and lack of thinking among sooooo many people, I still find it outrageous to the extreme. Just one word, Afghanistan, in the above quote will substantiate this belief.

It was over two years ago that America completely left Afghanistan, lock stock and barrel. With no Americans left and the Talban retaking control of the country, a "new" era has been ushered in. We all are well aware that the Taliban is no friend of the US; I'd go so far as to say they actually hate America and all it stands for.

With this in mind, why would *anyone* believe that the Taliban would sit back and accept American military bases in their country. To think this is beyond delusional, it requires living in an alternate universe.

Your guess is as good as mine as to why this is eaten up by so many gullible fools.

Columbia University faculty members signed an open letter “that situated the military action begun on October 7th within the larger context of the occupation of Palestine by Israel.”

Perhaps someone could launch same on the Columbia University faculty lounge, so the signers of this cancerous letter can feel deep in their bowels what "military action" means.

Oh, and Mike Johnson believes that there were Dinosaurs on Noah's Ark. Let's all welcome the new Speaker. 2 away from the White House. https://answersingenesis.org/dinosaurs/were-dinosaurs-on-noahs-ark/

That has always seemed like a poor retcon to incorporate dinosaurs into creationism. Wouldn't it have been easier to say that dinos were *not* on the Ark, and that's why you don't see them today?

Someone should show him NonStampCollectors satire on it. Trying to get two of each species of fly alone was driving him crazy.

The Arkist interpretation is that not all species were represented, only root-stock "kinds" - one pair of canines, one pair of equines, and so on, from which the living species within each kind diversified. They actually acknowledge (super fast) speciation to different niches, which is *right there* with natural selection.

What if all sane Democrats and Independent voters registered as Republicans and voted for Haley in their state primary? Could it make a difference?

I really don't think this is a good idea, even if possible. We have a better chance of beating the Dumpster. If Haley won, she would immediately suspend all federal prosecution against Trump or else pardon him if convicted. She is still a Trump suck-up like all of them except Christie.

Re: Mike Murphy on Haley. No, that's just nuts. Neither pro-Trumpers nor anti-Trumpers are going to forget how assiduously she's licked TLG's shoes. If I hadn't heard Mike Murphy talk to Sarah, I'd think that he's spent the last year on Mars.

I saw a thread by a German man (don't remember the name now) who said that one revelatory result of having been a German doing Middle Eastern studies was how often people came up to him and congratulated him on the Holocaust.

IOW, it's not just a reaction to Netanyahu's policies.

Several days ago, I saw someone write that Jew-hatred is deep-seated among Levantine Arabs --but that it originated in German philosophy. IOW, it must be white Europeans who are to blame for any bad attitudes among Arabs.

The Mufti of Jerusalem, the leader of the Palestinian Muslim community in the 1940s, was tight with Hitler, but I think that it was more a matter of convergence of interests between two confirmed Jew-haters than of cause and effect.
