I realize that I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I read JVL’s comment’s about the Gerrymandering changes in Illinois, and I just have a question: Given that Kinzinger voted with Trump/GOP the vast majority of his time in the House, and would continue to if the Democrats carved a district for him, really not seeing the loss …

Yes, he made the right decision to impeach TFG. But, how many times did he vote for him? How many policies that weaken America did he agree to? How many of Biden’s plans has he voted No on?
But, let’s carve him a safe district where, hopefully, he can beat the MAGA candidate that will keep coming at him for the next decade while voting against the interests of the voters of Illinois. (Yes, he might be voting for the people in his district, but look at West Virginia and Manchin).
Totally agree. I'm glad that Kinzinger and Cheney are giving their all to the 1/6 committee, and I give them credit for that. But they looked at 4 years of the Trump presidency-the deaths, the hatred, the norm-busting, the xenophobia, the law-breaking, and the general chaos, and said "Yes. I want 4 more years of this."
That's party before country. I can't absolve them of that and I feel I can't trust them if that's indicative of their decision-making.
This is true. Adam has only been good on Jan 6th. Everything else he's been in lockstep with Qevin McQarthy. He voted against voting rights and he voted against raising the debt ceiling.
Thank you for your service in the military and on the Jan 6th committee but see you later.
