My understanding is that it only takes four Supreme Court justices to get the court to take a case. I guess it only gets taken if a few want to rule in favor of the Prez. Could happen, though I hope it doesn't. Have to admit I'd like this brought back to the public forefront though.
I love the description of the fish on ice that you think is dead but the mouth is still moving…seems like this could describe many of the people who surround Trump. I needed this today. I realize it was posted earlier but I am glad I watched today. After the passing of the bill which shall not be named, my heart is still broken but I am glad I can still laugh.
what can be said about this mess, that hasnt been said. 1000 turn-offs have been ignored. we're peeing ours pants because of it ... at some pt someone has to say "I'd rather fight and die, than let this go on..." maybe in a cushy 1st world society that never happens (almost).
Tim, I am also on vacation this next week. and I am determined to stay in the moment. Be in the moment. I keep hearing Heather Cox Richardson say do the next right thing. And the next right thing is for me to disconnect and spend time focused on my husband and our friends and all that makes Ireland and Scotland amazing. P.S. It helps to know you are on vacation too. You have me thinking that The Bulwark may be an addiction...
What if they are pushing all this random shit through in the bill so that Trump and Republicans can run on "saving" Medicare in 2026. Haven't they done that before?
I don't think I can articulate the joy of seeing the stacks of books in the background brings. The orderly bookshelves that are common is fine, of course. But I relate far far more to the stacks.
Wow! Great interview, Tim. But of course you're famous for great interviews! E Jean - SO fun. 81 years old and 8 men total? She remembers all of them, hasn't forgotten any names...? Slut? Come on. And I LOVE the fish on a slab of ice comparison. Good job wrangling that tidbit out of her! :D After the election I too looked at everyone and tried to figure out if they were Trump supporters. Nearly half of us voted for him - everyone was suspect!

What a fabulous woman and an interviewer who she deserves. Well done to you both!
THANK YOU E JEAN!!! Always loved the column, and the late-life forensic revenge work makes us so proud and happy. What a guest!! Thank you ❤️
Loved Sarah's "I'm embarrassed to live in a country where there are people who would buy that." Yes!
This interview is SO delicious!!!!!
What a horrible reflection of society that a woman in a sexual assault trial has to look “fuckable” but not slutty.

Tim, absolutely loved the rapport you and E Jean shared in this interview. A delightful reprieve from all else going on.
And I also peered at everyone I saw in public settings in the days following the election wondering g who voted for the clown in chief.

And fully agreed on the fun here.

Ms. Carroll, I so hope it was Nicholas and not the insufferable half-brother!
