Jim, This is probably the best place to post how grateful I am for The Bulwark being an island of sanity in the push this if you agree era of internet politics. I've always been a Democrat but never a liberal, I've put up with them at times. (I know there is like ten of us as the joke goes).

What I read and listen to here helps keep me grounded and not want to start an American version of The French Revolution.

Very credible. Please someone devote some attention to Alex Acosta, who us still alive, right? And knows why he gave Epstein the sweetheart deal, including immunity for any co-conspirators, for the love of God!!!

Democrats need to go hard on repeatedly showing what the victims have to say. Saturate the media with the victims stories. No need to hear what Maxwell has to say. Never talk about what a liar says.

Politics aside, the victims deserve to be heard and receive justice.

Trying very hard to stay engaged, go to protests etc. but good God the WEATHER...

P.S. Jim Swift, comments were turned off before I saw your comment to my comment about Swin. And yes I noticed that you both live in Cincinnati and I am baffled. 😂

I have this theory that Columbus (where I live) is the only city that's actually in Ohio. Cleveland thinks it's in Pennsylvania or New York, Cincinnati thinks it's in Kentucky, Dayton thinks it's in Indiana, Toledo is in Michigan and so forth...

And complicating matters is those cities insinuating (Clevelanders saying "Cincinnati is in Kentucky") the other isn't part of Ohio.

Very good point. It's similar to how Chicago feels about the rest of Illinois (well, south of 80 anyway).

I lived in Akron for a while which is more or less Cleveland aligned, and had NEVER in my life been asked so often what my ethnic background was. Nobody was interested in that in Columbus, but Akron/Cleveland felt more like Erie PA (where most of my family is from) and people identified Irish or Italian or Polish etc.

Had the maps not been changed decades ago Chicago would have been in Wisconsin and you can only wonder how things would have gone differently for Chicago and Milwaukee.

The MAGA Safari is a hoot and oh so true. Jay Nordlinger is good also. Be sure and read Dr. Richardson's letter for today but be aware it is dark and disturbing. If you have facebook there is a great post from Cree Hardegree, didn't see it on his substack but it is well worth finding, really drives home the double standard of the press and the hypocrisy of republicans.

Trump’s approval ratings are still dropping. Now is the time to urge center right voters and people who rarely vote to convince Republicans that their only possibility of remaining in office is to impeach Trump. Then SCOTUS can claw back the immunity it has given presidents in the case of impeachment.

The fact that Stacey Williams is still having to ask for transparency tells you everything about how broken this system is. If the DOJ has evidence—especially tapes connected to Epstein’s trafficking network—it’s not just a legal matter, it’s a moral one. The public deserves the truth, and the victims deserve justice that doesn’t arrive twenty years too late. Silence is complicity. Release the tapes.

This. It was shocking to hear Stacey Williams say she has no idea what information about her, if any, is in the data that DOJ has...that's messed up.

The only thing that helps me restore a sense of sanity is my work within my neighborhood on traffic calming efforts, and my work with other like-minded people on civic issues in my city. It's a reminder that we can all make a difference in the civic commons at the local level, which reduces my sense of helplessness as I watch my state and federal governments go crazy.

Community bike rides help, too -- physical activity helps me quiet the Trump administration-inspired ya-yas.

(And yes -- this horrible heat dome is affecting my interest and ability in pursuing outdoor activities like walking and biking -- grrrr.)

Tim asks former model Stacey Williams where did Epstein get all his money….this part of Epstein’s life is rarely if ever discussed…I believe he was a financial utility and wealth manager launched his own marketing services exclusively to clients with over $1 billion dollars…he curated high-society network access , and on and on in his beginning…

Tim's and Stacey's chat is really worth watching! But in it, Stacey described the context in which Epstein said that he taped Stacey her; it didn't involve Trump... in case anyone joins the dots and gets it wrong... Thank you so much for everything you bring to us all!

Or did it involve Trump? I mean...who got to watch those tapes?
