A big reason why trumps mask hasn't slipped is the pathetic reporting of his deeds. We need to draw more direct lines showing the disconnect between trump the man and trump the myth. A real strongman wouldn't become subservient in the face of another strongman. Ask why he is not kidnapping putin and taking over russia. Ask trump who his daddy is.
There was no freaking mask. The man was always an open racist, misogynist, thief, liar and authoritarian. And this time on the ballot he was a convicted felon and rapist who incited a violent coup attempt to try to steal a free and fair election that he lost. There is no excuse for not knowing who Trump is and always has been. We are all paying the price for the depravity of these voters.
What I don't understand is why Trump's mask is slipping only for SOME voters -- why not ALL? The mass self-delusion in this country is maddening and frightening. (And AI will only exacerbate that and make it more dangerous.) But at least we have Snowpocalypse to distract us. Nashville is supposed to get upwards of 4" of snow and 1/4" of ice. This will dominate the local news for days and days ... and bring the entire city to its knees. Good luck to all in the path of this storm!
