Whatever Chutkan does, (and I think someone should literaly gag him) it won't matter. I hate to say that, but until he is dead, he will never stop talking.

If he incites the armed idiots that adore him and violence ensues, (which is very possible) we will then have to deal with the ramifications of that.

The Republican Party is reponsible for this. They have been leaning this way for decades and now they are trying to tame the monster they created.

This will not end well.

Let’s take stock of the latest episode of Boebert Behaving Badly – too tempting to pass up, for all the obvious reasons, but also not something that should be allowed to slide:

-- Boebert vapes, against the rules, in an enclosed facility and in the presence of a pregnant woman, because she cares so much about the lives of the unborn. Got it.

-- Boebert fondles a companion as if in the back row of the bus in high school, because there should be common standards of decency in a public place. Check.

-- Boebert gave the finger to those removing her from the theater, and everyone else within eyesight, because that’s how elected officials are allowed to behave in front of their bosses, the taxpaying citizens. Okay – as long as the rest of us can do that to our bosses as well and get away with it.

-- Children saw much or all of this in real time, but that’s okay, because she is a mother and knows what’s best for kids. All right.

-- Boebert apologized after the fact for her transgressions. Yeah, after doubling down on her innocence first, and only when video evidence surfaced that proved her to be a liar. Yet another “sorry, not sorry” moment from GOP officials who feel even less shame and embarrassment than they do empathy for others who are not like them and do not have their perks and advantages.

-- And of course Boebert chose to play the “Do you know who I am?” card. The correct answer is, “Actually, we know what you are. Who you are is a distinction without a difference.”

Feel free to add to the list if I have left something out -- quite possible, given how many balls there are to juggle. I feel bad for those good, decent people in Colorado who are tainted by the presence of this person and the guilt by association that she increasingly projects upon the masses there. But as bad as she is, if she gets reelected, it becomes more about the voters who put her there, with full knowledge of her track record of trailer trash behavior. (Requisite apology to the many people living in trailers who know better than to act like that and do so.) In life we get what we settle for more than what we want or need. Boebert increasingly is proof that the car will crash as often as we remove the guardrails meant to ensure that it stay on the road.
