Trump, the worst person ever to run for president in the nation's history. A man who was a convicted felon on 34 counts, and who had been credibly accused of rape, business fraud, and a plethora of other crimes and illegalities. A man Joe Biden actually beat. And, remember, Joe Biden was an awful presidential candidate, who himself crashed and burned on three separate occasions when running for president pre-2020.
As Hillary Clinton also knows, it is a truly epic failure to lose to Donald Trump in a general election. Kamala crashed and burned even with Biden's war chest and campaign apparatus behind her.
And, Kamala Harris still has never received a single primary vote or delegate for a national office. Had she had to run in a primary in 2024, she would almost certainly have not only lost, but would probably have been out well before Super Tuesday. If she runs in 2028, she'll be out before February.
52% is probably the ceiling for any presidential candidate, from either party, regardless of who they are or who they run against. Even Obama's win seems irreplicable now. We live in truly unprecedented, ultra-polarized times. 90% of each party's voters would vote for Adolf Hitler or the Devil, if he was their party's candidate, even if he ran against Jesus.
That is the tragic reality of our modern times. The thought of the country uniting around an FDR or a Ronald Reagan is inconceivable in this age.
