I'm not watching it, because I've lost all faith in America. It's just too painful. I was so convinced that this guy was done after Jan. 6, and now I feel like the fool returning to his folly or the dog returning to his vomit.

So I'll tune in to you and AB after the fact, and just give it to me straight. It is what it is. I'll be relatively fine under Trump 2.0. The people who "feel pain" when they fill up with gas, so I'm told, will see 0% improvement in their lives. Their lives will either stay exactly the same or go in a worse direction. How do I know that? Because I've seen these people for 40 years follow the promises of BS artists, and it's never had a positive impact. Like I said, a fool returns to his folly.

This is such a lopsided thing. A 50 year honorable public servant. Versus a slimy rapist criminal fraud. Amazing that so many people can overlook Donald's sexual assault of women. A rapist should not be President of the United States and Leader of the Free World. Why is this even a contest?

In Administration 2.0 the price of gas will cease to be newsworthy. It's all good!

There was a woman who ran for state rep here in SC who said that Biden had destroyed American oil and gas production.......please show your work. By increasing production? That's my question to everyone who claims to feel the pain of inflation, keep in mind these people have pools and jet skis, but what policy will Trump enact that will help? Tariffs? Nope. We're at record oil and gas yield and Saudi Arabia has even capitulated on production. Still isn't helping. I need some details!

Yoy can't argue faith. They know that US oil and gas production has cratered. The fact that both are at record levels means nothing. The exact same production will be hailed as glorious under the next Republican administration.

I didn't catch covid and won't catch the debate. However, as I questioned earlier,It may take a truly awful (in domestic and foreign policy) another Trump four years to right this county's ship. One last thing, Ukraine will not feel too fine with four years of Trump.

At least Ukraine has some support from Europe. I feel really bad for political opponents that stood up to Trump. It’s going to be really bad for them. I came of age in the Clinton era, and so it’s just crazy to see how Republicans played the long game and won beyond even their own expectations. If Trump only won 30% of the vote, I’d have no issue. But the fact that 48% of the country either wants this or is too naive to see the danger just tells me we’re doomed.

I do what JVL frequently does when he puts his hands on his head and yells AAAHHH! But I do it in private.

I don't think our democracy will survive another 4 years of a trump term. That's why this election is so damn important.

I seriously don’t think Trump 2.0 is a 4-year thing. If he refused to leave last time, I don’t have high confidence he will leave voluntarily next time unless Don Jr. is the president that succeeds him.

I felt deeply a year ago that Biden made a huge mistake running again. It seems to have come to fruition. For anybody that says we’d be worse with Kamala or fill in the blank, I’d like to know how it could get any worse.

I kind of felt the same way as Joe mentioned a few times that he was a transition to new leadership of Dems. I think age has been too much to overcome for him. I'll never know why people look at Trumpster and say they like him.

Worse as a country, definitely not. I think we'll be fine to great under any of the potential Dems. in the potential president cohort. Worse as a political race - maybe. Two knowns vs. an unknown and a known is not apples to apples.

One strength that I see Biden having is he has a long history in the public light. As much as folks want to say that is a bad thing, we have two people each with roughly the same amount of media coverage over their lifetimes. The resiliency we've seen from Biden and the face planting from Comer on the impeachment quagmire, shows that Biden is not who MAGA says he is.

I don't disagree with the merits, but think like a dullard for a minute. What you mentioned probably worked when people wore suits on airplanes. Now people wear pajamas and no shoes, literally. They pay a premium to have fast food delivered to their door. It's all about instant gratification, so there's a premium for something shiny and new even if that something new is just a turd. Trump exploited that. Serious people laugh if you bring up The Rock as a running mate, but that's because you're thinking like a serious person. What % of the electorate is serious? It's a moot point, but just think for a minute where you think the polls would be if The Rock was running against Trump. Keep in mind we're a silly country.

We will never know that for sure, and certainly don't know it now. Personally, I think he may not have run if Republicans would have dumped the bastard. They did not. Once that happened, I for one saw more risks coming from finding an alternative than with sticking with a successful incumbent. I think Biden did too.

Still doesn't matter. Whatever was done. If we win in November we will say yea. If we lose, the sad truth is that Biden will be blamed, not the people that voted for Trump
