Great article. I hadn't really thought it out, but I do indeed often just choose to watch whatever is on TCM instead of going through my mental checklist of things I want to watch on streaming, etc. Won't be the same if/when that option is no longer available.

I subscribe to Criterion Channel, which like TCM offers great movies and a large library, but like you I sometimes enjoy just watching what is offered on TCM without having to make a choice. Besides being lazy, itтАЩs nice to have movies offered that I might not choose, which can help to educate me. Same reason I still like listening to the radio.
IтАЩm usually pleased with the offerings, and if not there are unlimited other choices through various streaming services.
