Ugh. "Multitasking" audiences are at least part of why we are losing literacy in cinematic language.

This point, and the dubbing point are spot on. I was some forgettable streaming series (on my computer), and I don't think I realized it was dubbed until the second episode. Oops...

Oh, totally. I mean, this is one of the reasons I remain incredibly Netflix-skeptical. I think it's inculcating all sorts of awful habits in viewers and creators alike.
