Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who entered Congress as a pugnacious outsider MAGA populist and contrarian, is a median Republican in today’s 118th Congress. Her policy positions don’t veer too far from fellow Republicans in the New York or California delegations, who are the reputed moderates in their caucus. The difference between Greene and these gentler figures is often a matter of temperament, and, sometimes, the methods they consider appropriate for advancing the conservative policy agenda. The policy itself is typically an area of agreement.
