They are doing nothing to increase their coalition; they haven't really tried for some time, and they're getting worse in this regard.
They're running on platforms that are completely unintelligible to anyone not immersed in rightwing media. If you watch a Trump or DeSantis speech, unless you're saturated with Fox or worse, you likely have no idea what they're talking about.
