That call to Robin Vos makes me think Trump is laying the groundwork for an insanity defense.

Trump makes Vos look sane, of course Gableman, Vos's minion, is comically nuts.

It escapes Vos that he is performing an investigation on Trump's behalf at Wisconsin taxpayer expense, for someone who does not reside in our state, does not pay taxes here, and does not contribute to our economy. Vos tries too hard to straddle the line of appeasing someone whose influence he seeks to tap into, while not looking like his toady, and appearing to be the one who is in charge of the situation. Pretty embarrassing stuff all around.

The idea of Trump laying the groundwork for an insanity defense has a certain ironic hilarity to it. IтАЩm not saying itтАЩs impossible or even unlikely, just . . . good for a laugh.

For those who don't know Wisconsin, it's also so like Robin Vos to blurt out what is happening like it's an everyday thing that shouldn't be an issue and is beyond question. That it isn't an issue tells you how screwed up this state is politically. He fears no repercussions because there never are any for the GOP majority. They say and do pretty much anything they want with the knowledge that someone in a higher position of power will have their back later on.

Would be too cunning for him to have such a long-term plan.

One has to be sane in order to plan an insanity defense. However, if one is truly insane, they just keep doing what they have been doing. SOP.
