Justin, I watched a webinar last week about the avian flu with UC Davis vet school virologists and their recommendation for dealing with wild birds is to wear a mask and wash your hands after filling any feeders. Since they are ducks, I am guessing you are just tossing the food on the ground, rather than handling a feeder, so you're probably safer.
