It’s tough when you have to be the liberal and conservative party at the same time because the only other available party has decided to overdose on acid.

Thanks. Now I want Cheetos. There was a cheese flavored popcorn in that aisle that I used to buy that was even more addictive. But, at least it momentarily takes my mind off House clowns.
Correct on all counts, and thankfully so. Of course, there is that saying allegedly made by a former, long-deceased President, "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!" My point was only that one should be careful relying solely on the word of a handful of unelected people in this time of increasing distrust in instititions. At some point, a thin finger in a dike will break.
That Trump can call other conservative Republicans RINOs indicates that phrases and words meanings are fluid. We recognize this in daily speech but are also stuck with the understanding that Left and Right in this country went from ascriptive to descriptive to fungible terms on different positions.
I’m literally a RINO. I switched parties in Elise Stefanik’s district in order to sign a petition for and vote for her primary opponent. The opponent so far seems like kind of a bust, but maybe she’ll get more motivated or someone else will jump in.
It’s a huge district, the news media is dying and ES has a boatload of money. I’m probably just going to end up supporting opponents to the 6 Republicans in Biden districts in NY.

They've overdosed on disinformation and we're afraid to tackle the underlying problem. www.13thclown.com "Clown Competition"

That would be battery acid, right? Nothing like a little H2SO4 to add whang to the bile.
I was thinking 4 way blotter, but sulfuric might work, too.
This is giving me Weimar Republic vibes, and yes, I’m freaked out.
The courts are holding up well so far and are a last bastion of truth. Thankful for that.
Until you realize that Crooked Clarence and Spacy Sam are two of the final votes-
But a majority decision needs five votes. Yes, it's a 6-3 court, but the conservatives have not supported Trump's cases. They rejected his "voter fraud arguments, refused to back efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and have generally sought to preserve voter rights in the face of Republican attempts to redraw districts to their advantage. In addition, the justices rejected Trump’s request to block release of his tax records to a House investigative committee in 2020" (https://www.usnews.com/news/the-report/articles/2023-09-08/are-trump-and-his-conservative-supreme-court-on-a-collision-course#:~:text=And%20while%20the%20Supreme%20Court's,back%20efforts%20to%20overturn%20the).

Understood. I don't think that will happen if Biden is reelected; if Trump wins, yes.
If TFG wins, the damn dam has already burst.
Yes.

Doesn’t it seem that words no longer have meaning in Trump’s iteration of the Republican party?

We do what we can and hope for the best.
Glad you pointed out the news media is dying in your district. I think contributes to how red rural districts are.
Yes, the Glens Falls Post Star is my local paper and it’s a shell. I get the Watertown paper online and that’s pretty empty, too. It’s a news desert.
So many developments in the last 20 years have brought us to this morass we're in.
Ooooo, best comment.
Bingo.
What a great take!
