One tiny bit of good news: Per the NYT Breaking News: "The Supreme Court cleared the way for a House committee to receive Donald Trump’s tax returns, refusing his request to block their release." A bit of hope that the SC isn't as far in Trump's pocket as he thinks.

As I have said elsewhere, Trump might think (because he was President when these people were appointed) that this is HIS SCotUS. It isn't. It belongs to the Federalist Society and to Mitch McConnell. Trump rubber stamped it. Anyone that Trump picked from the list he was handed was perfectly ok with Mitch and the Federalist Soceity (because they wrote the lost).
Oh, and the primary goal of those choices was not to get rid of Roe v Wade--that is just a bonus (that they now find that maybe they didn't actually want to get). The GOAL is to curtail the US government (freeing up the plutocrats and the Corps)--THAT is what a lot of "originalism" is about.
In the choice between the tyranny of the majority and the tyranny of the plutocrats/corps, they are firmly on the side of the plutocrats/corps. But then, so was the Constitution as it was written.
I seriously doubt they feel any debt to Trump or actually care much about his fate--and would probably like him to be gone as he is a problem.
Don't look for too many favors for Trump from the existing SCotUS, other than from maybe Clarence Thomas (because his wife dragged him into some shit).
