Thank you, Sonny, for bringing us this film and Mr. Philips! Great interview. I'm a student of contemporary Native American Literature and so, of course, anything on the screen. I LOVE Longmire. Such an important moment for Native literature and film/TV.

Shout out to Craig Johnson too. Some wonderful novels there.

I hope that he will consider producing a film expression of one of the actual events that the US government and its citizens perpetrated on Indians of which there are myriad. My grandpa told me as a kid in the early 60s that the Western movie Indians were "Italians with tanning makeup" and that the movies told lies. He homesteaded in Montana in the early 1900s, essentially the Wild West of the 1800s for all practical purposes and saw what the Indians in his region were up against as a young child that stuck with him his entire life. The Nez Perce were captured north of where he homesteaded.

I love to see native viewpoints, but there aren't enough, or perhaps any, of their perspective of our history, covered in the Great Courses Native Peoples of North America (https://shop.thegreatcourses.com/native-peoples-of-north-america), in film.

Can't tell you how let down I was that you didn't pitch Lou Diamond Phillips a question about the late-90s B-movie classic Bats. Or at least slip a recognition of his performance as Sheriff Emmett Kimsey in there.

Sure, sure... I know he was on the show to promote what he's currently doing now, not a low-budget creature-feature from his career nadir, but--as you've said yourself, Sonny--Hollywood is a better place when guys like LDP are doing things like Bats!

Man I could’ve done a whole hour that was basically a Random Roles episode, haha. I wanted to stay on topic though because this is how word about KEEP QUIET will get out there. It’s not going to have a $20 (or even $2) million campaign, you know?

Definitely understand. Keep circulating the tapes, Sonny!

Native Noir -- makes me think of a fantastic novel I read last year called "Cahokia Jazz" by Francis Spufford. It's alternative history imbued with a very noir-ish vibe. I highly recommend it.

Don’t forget Sterling Harjo’s The Low Down!

It's on my to-watch list! (I have a running list of gym shows, it's in the queue. I just finished up HANNIBAL, which was a weirdly good gym show.)

You will not be disappointed. Well done in every way, but Ethan Hawke shows why he is one of our finest working actors.

I have a couple weeks left on HBO so I'm going to go watch “The Chair Company”. Thanks!
