There is a fundamental problem in MAGA World for anyone who has hitched their professional wagon to conspiracies. The problem being that the rank and file MAGA faithful believe that crap with every fiber of their soul.
The people that "Flood the Zone" a la Steve Bannon are feeding at the MAGA trough.
For the purveyors of those conspiracies, life was great. Good money, popularity, being asked to comment on "real" news (spelled Fox)
Those folks make serious coin feeding the MAGA faithful.
People need to understand this principle at a deeper level than they do now.
MAGA is a SERVICE business. You have a buyer and a seller.
The sellers are Steve Bannon, Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, Laura Loomer and hundreds of others.
So that is the sell side.
But, who are the buyers. The buyers are the thousands and thousands of MAGA Red Hats who subscribe to their feeds and contribute in multiple ways. Not watching any of the above hucksters in action I can't say specifically how much but I feel confident they are not giving away all their content for free. It is all about money and liberating the money in MAGA wallets.
Here is the problem with trafficking in lies/conspiracies rather than just giving out news that is true and how it bleeds over to the MAGA Red Hat faithful.
Trump was supposed to be the big payday. He was going to strip the skin off "The Deep State" He was going to prove the the "Fake News" was in fact, fake. Pizza-Gate, Epstein, the whole shebang was going to be hauled out for public airing.
MAGA is not getting their payday. Their reward for sticking with the crackpots for years was going to be the satisfaction of being right.
They were gleefully anticipating how good it was going to feel to tell all their family, now ex-friends, co-workers "I TOLD YOU SO!"
Well, "I told you so" has not panned out. The MAGA faithful are never going to admit that yes, they were duped. They were the suckers everyone told them they were.
Now the purveyors are having to resort to fighting each other. It was all a lie and MAGA are having to eat their stupidity in public and it is now a brawl inside their own ranks.
