When both the marching on the left is now the marching on the right over the shooting incident, we in the middle, the confusion party are definitely sitting this one out. Apologies to Lou Costello.
The thing is that humans are inherently pattern-seeking beings and this fit the pattern that Trump will always do whatever it takes to manipulate our attention, so of course the instantaneous thoughts are that it was faked…the difference is that some of us can let go of those instantaneous conclusions in the presence of additional facts.
Should we be worried that the Trump-o-sphere hasn't blamed this on anybody? Not Antifa, or Iran, or The Left(tm), or Somalians, or The Deep State. Trump hasn't even milked it to feed his victimhood complex. Just straight to the ballroom.
Everyone I work with believes it's a false flag. We're in Australia, and they're all college-educated, but obviously, they don't follow American politics that closely. Also, every single one of them hates the President, so they have very little in common with the people in this focus group. Which is to say, this idea is everywhere—globally—and it's becoming deeply ingrained. I think it's going to be around forever.
I hope not. This country has done a tremendous amount of good, and I hope we will still be able to continue where we left off once this felon is gone along with his administration.
The problem is that he’s totally the sort of person you could imagine being game to pull a false flag. I’m not saying he’s done so or would succeed if he tried. But I am saying that I 100% believe he’d be willing to do so if convinced it’d be useful to him. So, the story will never die because Trump’s whole personality and world view will never let it.
I agree. The reason my colleagues believe it's a false flag, aside from one who comes from Russia and is rightly suspicious, is how quickly and audaciously he used it for his ballroom fixation. He didn't seem that concerned about the actual attempt, so everyone's like, "Yeah, right, fake." Plus, he lost any credibility years ago.
That's my problem with it. I saw a photo, video of the "press conference" he held half an hour after he got to the WH. In the wide shot, every single person in the picture was grinning like they just heard a great joke. Everyone of them. And his reaction. Not one of them looked like they had just been through a life threatening trauma. And then he starts with the ballroom! They could all be in shock, but they sure didn't look that concerned.
I was scrolling through Instagram and saw a post about "sponge cities" in China. Porous concrete, wetlands, etc. are installed to prevent floods and naturally return the water to aquafiers. The designer of these urban sponge areas died in an airplane crash. There were maybe 30 comments, getting 10-30 likes. Except for one comment, "He died in a plane crash?? How interesting!" It got 343 likes and mostly supportive replies. People--well, chronically online pepple, anyway-- seem to want to believe in conspiracies. Didn't they write research papers in high school or college where they learned how to collect and evaluate evidence to prove a hypothesis? Seeing this after the overwhelming number of "staged assassination attempts" likes and comments is really quite discouraging, because a strong democracy depends on informed and rational voters.
Will, I know you’re focused on the influencers. Thought you might enjoy this clip of one of the two candidates to replace Elise Stefanik. For the record, he’s running for House in a district as far as you can get from NYC and still be in NY state.
Me too. I find it hard to believe that anyone who listened to Trump campaign and thought “He’s the one” will ever become less gullible. I have a brother who is quite smart, and for reasons that I will never understand, he voted for Trump. So even though I know that he is smart, his judgment and ability to analyze information are questionable IMO.
I guess no one believes a word coming from the administration, even his own voters. They’ve created their own monster. And maybe that monster will eat them up.
Thank you. I always like your youtube with Sam Stein too.
Trump wants the ballroom finished, because he has no plans to leave the White House when his term ends. This is going to be his bunker.

A note from center right guy to this focus group:
Calm. Down. You voted for Trump in '24. You will vote for Trump in '28. You are in a cult. There is nothing for you to see here. Everything is fine.

His brain is so addled the ballroom is all he thinks of. Unless it’s his arch. Or his garden of heroes. Or maybe that shiny toy someone just gave him.
Nahhh. They understand it's Hillary's fault. They see right through the simple stuff.
Thanks for clearing this up Will.

Sorry, I think it's going to become the next JFK, thing. God helps if he does have a coronary and drops dead, that will be much conspiracy fodder.

It really is surprising how little he’s using this for any other end. His whole world is rapidly narrowing to that one thing.
Dementia. I guess. It would be sad if he wasn't so dangerous.

It’s very NSFW.

I think half these yahoos believe in every conspiracy theory because they like to say "psyop".
DELICIOUS.
I feel like stealing "shut-and-dry." I'm not sure for what, but it'll come in handy for something.
Candance produces facts?
In a blind squirrel/stopped clock sort of way.
This is why I don’t think any of these people are “gettable.” The best we can hope for is they become too cynical to vote again. That’s the win.
They'll probably stay with the Epstein stuff, tho, bkz that's the big one, and they wanted Trump to expose the whole thing.

I have a sister who graduated from college, Magna cum laud. School smart. Life stupid. Sometimes education is over rated.
