After seeing the ad for the movie, I actually checked my channel on my TV, thought it was an SNL skit. My 2nd thought was, how cheap the ad budget was, seriously, under a minute.
Like Susan Troy below, I only read this piece to find out in what possible world this "film" was conceived and produced. A sad tale, adding to the shameful behavior and legacy of the 47th occupier and his family. No surprise that the sickening history of the director reflects the previous behavior of someone else connected to the project.
You were probably more diplomatic but it sounds like it is a vapid 100 or so minutes of clips of shallow performance to coddle the fragile ego of Trump by using Melania. It ranks right up there with the literary value of books by Donny Jr and Eric and the singing career of Laura T. The all share the gene of tone deaf self importance.
I looked up Melania's early life in Wikipedia, and none of this is surprising. I will just say that if Donald Trump is the luckiest man in the world, as someone wrote, based on his unbroken string of lucky breaks and undeserved wins, then Melania is the luckiest woman.
(I'm assuming there is no Hell, etc., only wealth and power.)
It took me a while to even read this because the less I see of anything related to the Trump family, the better. This bunch operates in an entirely different universe than I do, and it appears to draw its energy from narcissism. That's all I can think to say. I'm grateful you watched it, and I didn't. Thanks.
Everyone go on Netflix and put the Michelle Obama documentary "Becoming" on one of your screens . Just play it on a loop while you do other stuff, so it trends on their "popular" list. The woman Melania lifted her remarks from for her 2016 convention speech. An actual documentary instead of a bribe by Jeff Bezos.
Is this for real? REAL in the world of Trump, but please not for an example of presidential first lady leadership!! Isn't there some level of decency and respect left in this nation!! Not surprising as this appears to be a continuation of of 'Art of The Deal", Apprentice, Tear down white house and build 'Versailles', Jet setting playboy world of Epstein, Please will someone stand up and stop this show. There must be advisors, someone who represents the decency of American values....
Melania is 55 years old - late middle age. (A college classmate who became a Jesuit priest quipped at one reunion that only in America would 50 be considered middle aged, as if everyone lived to be 100, but I digress.) She’s ample old enough that if she possessed a shred of anything more than vanity she’d know how unbecoming it is to focus on nothing except her appearance. Personally, I don’t even think she does a good job with that. She comes across as hard and rigid, plus the colors she chooses (mostly black) are not flattering to her complexion. But really who gives a damn. She’s the perfect wife for Trump: unintelligent, unlearned, self-involved, and cold as ice.
