I asked ChatGPT what it cost Ken Burns to make The Civil War, and it was about 9 million in today's dollars. This is an 11 hour or so masterpiece of documentary filmmaking. My favorite documentary, Errol Morris's Gates of Heaven, cost about 600 grand in today's dollars. Yeah.

I read an article that the opening week’s success of melania was driven by older women. These women apparently look up to her as a role model. I guess they want their granddaughters to pose nude; marry an old, rich man; consort with pedophiles; speak poor English, and be virtually pointless. Yeah, we’ve come a long way, baby! 😱

This evening, my husband and I went to see the Bone Temple movie at the Regal Cinema in downtown Sarasota. There were 3 of us in the theater. During previews, he went down to the theater playing Melania and told me to go check it out. Nearly full. Mostly elderly women. This may make more money than we think. Very depressing.

The split between the Rotten Tomatoes TomatorMeter rating (8%) and the PopcornMenter rating ((98%) is hilarious! Funny, I know which one I am going to trust.

I suppose the good news for Melania is that she is now independently wealthy, and is no longer financially restrained by any per-nuptial agreement she may have signed with Orange Julius. Start the countdown to the divorce proceedings in 3...2...1!

Old joke. A man walks up to an attractive woman and asks, "I'll pay you a million dollars if you'll sleep with me tonight." The woman pauses to think about it, but finally says o.k. Then the man says, "I changed my mind, let's make it $100." The woman says "No, what do you think I am?" The man says, "We've already established that. We're just negotiating a price."

There is a reason this was released in theaters (and probably shown in gulags in Russia and N. Korea to torture prisoners) To make it eligible for "Best Documentary" at the Oscars next year, and should it win, you know we have reached Leni Riefenstahl-ville.

I was fascinated by the top cinematographers that were used (and also read many people working on the film wanted their names pulled from the credits to not be associated with it), but never even thought of the licensing costs of the songs! I think that is one of the reasons it took the movie "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" 50 years to be released on bluray (I got mine from a company in Australia) and also certain TV shows that used a lot of music years ago that never made it to physical media. Great review Sonny. I actually saw it on Rotten Tomatoes this morning which linked here. It boggles the mind how many people did actually see it based on the 99% popcorn reviews.

One day, if there are still movies, they should have midnight showings (remember those?) Like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where people dress up in drag like her and throw things at the screen 😂

They advertised on MSNOW (MSNBC) last week after an ad for the ACLU 😂

I am so weary of the press calling Melania a fashion model. I have searched and have yet to find any pictures of her modeling anything that covers her more than underwear. I am serious. If anyone finds pictures of her modeling actual outfits, please publish them.

Here are your flowers, Sonny! 💐💐💐

It seems like a silly projection now, but early on I kinda bought into the Melania as victim scenario. But, she appears to have gotten what she wanted so far out of the marriage, including a child (“her son” I think Trump calls Barron) and gobs of money. And, it sounds like she’s made her own money now in case her settlement from the prenup and/or her share of Trump’s wealth after he is gone, is not enough to live on in the style to which she has become accustomed.

Will free shipping on Amazon Prime orders will be discontinued to to the poor performance of this infomercial?

Well they should pay every Amazon prime member $100 to watch the movie if they want better ratings. Even then I would only do it if you were allowed to watch it without sound and picture.
