Trump supporters would not turn on him because he supported a violent insurrection aimed at overturning an election. But they'll turn on him if he is considered a loser. This is why I always point out to Trump supporters Trump's failures as a politician. Any other negative thing you say about Trump doesn't phase them, no matter how horrible. But when you point out that Donald Trump is a loser though, that really bothers the Trumpers. They are really bothered by the notion that their Orange God King is not the winner they dream to be.
